Stones1985 (Libyan/Sea People) beat tyronec (Babylonian) by a score of 63 to 50.

Fair to say that the terrain favoured the Libyans/Sea People. It comprised a lot of woods and rough ground with the occasional marsh all of which hampered the Babylonian chariots.

Kroche Ancient British 60BC-80AD w Roman 24BC 40% loss

tyronec Roman 24-196 + Nabataean 64% loss

An open map with patches of rough ground left and right of centre. British concentrated infantry on left side with mobile forces mainly on the right. Initial clash was on the right between skirmishers, cavalry and chariots. The Romans had the better time here and had some infantry in support. The main lines met on the left, warbands benefitted from being able to occupy the rough ground there as Roman archers were the only medium unit to compete with. The lines clashed for a long time, warbands performed very well, helped by 2 on 1 legion in a couple of spots and British chariots had time to move round the rough and threaten Roman flanks. top half of the main line (my view) was turning in favour of British while the Romans were stronger in the bottom half. Difference was British defeated the Romans in the top half while the Romans could not get the rolls to win where they were stronger. The Roman left wing had arrived to support in the last couple of turns and warbands were finally creaking, but had done enough damage to win the field. GG

Division A

lydianed (Sea Peoples + Libyans) defeats IMC (Uratians) 44-15

With the Sea Peoples proudly bringing their 7 losses from 7 games into this one, I warned IMC that he would need atrociously bad luck not to emerge the victor. So it proved to be. Terrain was against the Uratians after the clueless Sea Peoples climbed a hill and actually used to it to some tactical advantage. Unfortunately for IMC, this was the first battle in which the Sea People's remembered to bring weapons to fight with instead of pillows. To the surprise of everyone, the Sea Peoples carried off the victory.

Thanks to all my opponents in the Biblical Class this season. I've been outplayed by all of you and I will never, ever pick the Sea Peoples again.

Narrow and rough terrain did not help the Kushans against the Axumite camels and massed archers
