I'm an inexperienced PSCAMP player. Can someone direct me to the Sun King/Roi du Soleil campaign or battles in the game?
Are there any? Or is Roi du Soleil merely a Skirmish mode?
Thanks.

Re: Le Roi du Soleil
Hello there
There are also historical campaigns in the game (which you also play on the Country Map - something like in Shogun TW), historical campaigns consisting of the battles themselves (the battles are not linked to each other, you don't move units, but just fight consecutive battles).
In addition, you can start your own campaign on a randomly generated map with your own settings.
There are plenty of battles in single player mode.
Don't be afraid to download campaigns and scenarios created by players. They are great and add immensely to the gameplay.
But still the best is, of course, the multiplayer mode, and the tournaments and campaigns we organise from time to time (tab tournaments on this forum).
Have fun, because it's a great game!

Thanks. I will. I have already downloaded Rocroi and it looks great.
Perhaps I have the wrong idea about exactly what is meant when the game uses the Roi du Soleil name. I'm looking for specific Louis 14th Sun King campaigns and battles. Maybe the term Roi du Soleil simply refers to the historical time frame of Louis 14th and refers simply to these particular decades of warfare in Western Europe.
Am I on the right track here?

Re: Le Roi du Soleil
Unless I am mistaken, "Le Roi Soleil" is the name of an update of Pike&Shot whose details are here.
It primarily added European armies of the second half of the 17th century (from 1649 on).
So you can play as one of the armies of Louis XIV in :
- the Pike and Shot Campaign, for example :

- the skirmish module, for ex :

- in user-made battles, for ex :

... but, unlike in FoG2 Ancients, FOG2 Medieval or P&S base game (with Gustave II Adolphe or the English Civil War), unfortunately, in this update, there were no such things as "Epic battles" or "Campaigns" dedicated to Louis XIV, one of his Generals such as Turenne or Condé or a war. Sans doute a matter of ressources, time...
