by 41 to 11.

The Syro-Canaanites anchored their left flank on a patch of rough ground and used Light Chariots and medium foot to hold back a furious Cimmerian cavalry assault. On the right flank, they used their swordsmen to attack their opponents' spearmen with success, and then turned into the middle. A hard-fought battle by both parties.

Egyptians directed forces against the weaker Carthaginian left, while Carthaginians assembled more forces in the centre and their right. Carthaginian left was very vulnerable as the Egyptian movement enabled them to strike first as the Carthaginians were still moving forces to the centre. It was a good battle with lots of melees between the spearmen. The Carthaginian left held up the Egyptians long enough for their main force to win in the centre. Carthaginian infantry won the day through greater resilience and Egyptians lost through generally bad dice rolls in the key early clashes which prevented them from flanking the Carthaginian centre. Rome got stuck behind a river and on the wrong end of a slope and couldn't bring their infantry to bear. Gepid lights caused multiple holes in the lines which the lancers were able to exploit. Tough day for Rome. GG.

More rolling hills and woods allowed for a lot of hidden shenanigans before most of the respective forces became visible.


Turn 9
The battle lines set(ish), ambushers exposed and again the Dailami struggle to hold their own or worse against the Lumberjacks from the North.


In the end the battle was won in the centre at the edge of the big hill with the Ulfhednar routed then the Huscarls and Bondi flanked.

The Sumerian spears were able to hold out against all the Babylonain chariots until the Sumerian massed archers softened the line enough to close in.
