slitherine launcher looping and crc check failed

so recently (today) i bought panzer corps 2 and was eager to play it
but when initially launching the game i got essentially a png that was the launcher

after scouring the forums for a while i tried admin running the launcher after doing some other proposed fixes
well the launcher became less then a png but when i clicked play instead of being thrown into the game i was just thrown from thr working launcher into the png launcher again

then after searching for solutions from other people experiencing similar instances i reached in the binaries folder and tried touching the exe there and when running that it says the CRC check failed

i bought the game via steam and i have reinstalled it several times, i have tried verifying the files several times aswell

i am on windows 11 for my os and i have intel I7 for cpu, a nvidia rts 4050 for gpu (laptop)

forgot to add this to the original post but i also have the same issue with rule the waves 3 (have not checked the CRC thing there yet)
