FOG tourney Results in Jacksonville, FL, Oct. 3rd

The Gulf Coast Championship welcomes Florida into the fold as Derek Downs announces the 1st annual Gulf Coast Field of Glory Tournament in Jacksonville, Florida to be held on Saturday, October 3rd, 2009.

Check in begins at 8:45 AM.

Round 1 starts at 9:00 AM.

There will be three rounds total each of three hours plus 2d6 minutes of random time. When time is called, players finish the current phase.

Any starter army from any book published by August 31 is allowed.

Table size will be 4’ x 5’ and there is no entry fee. Yes, you heard right. There is no entry fee.

How you ask? Quite simply because Derek will host in his very own garage. Address is 2789 Selma Street,  Jacksonville, FL 32205.

The first ever FOG tournament in Jacksonville, FL has successfully concluded with 8 participants. This was a 3 round tournament using starter armies. The scores were

1. Derek Downs (Early Zhou) - 57 points
2. Joe Serafini (Arab Conquest) - 55.6 points
3. Steve Rawls (HYW English Continental) - 54.4 points
4. Robert Serafini (Later Crusader) - 26 points
5. Christopher Anders (Later Polish) - 22 points (Referee, played only 2 rounds)
6. Chris Ahrendt (Classical Greek - Persain Wars) - 21 points
7. Jaimie White (Medieval Irish) - 16.7 points (played only two rounds)
8. Brent Rogers (Alexandrian Macedonian) - 7.3 points
