Setting up games, DLCs and army lists.

Post by Triarii »

Looking for a bit of help.
Can I just ask for clarification on these points.

If you do not own a DLC you cannot pick an army list specific to that DLC when setting up a game. Either a custom game or multiplayer game.
Is that statement true?

If you do not own a DLC you can accept a multiplayer game, set up by another player, with an army list from a DLC you do not own.
Is that statement also true?

Is there anywhere detailing the army lists, by DLC for both FoGII and FoG Medieval?
I have derived a listing from the DLC product details pages. However this information is in different formats across the FoG DLCs and for several DLCs (particulary Medieval) is generic and does not specify date ranges for the nations covered. E.g. Storm of Arrows lists 37 Nations and/or factions but notes 96 additional army lists from "1270 AD until just prior to the introduction of Swiss-style pike tactics".
Anyone able to help with a more definitive listing?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of an army list break down by dlc. I've compiled complete lists for both games in the past for generating matches for my Chaos Tourney, but it doesn't include dlc data.

I did a quick attempt using Chatgtp, but it was obviously incomplete and didn't have time to refine it tonight. Maybe I will take another stab at it tomorrow.

You could try asking Richard; he kindly provided lists for some of the dlcs when I was working on my spreadsheet.

Thanks very much for the reply and the DLC info you forwarded to me.
A great help.
I shall share back the lists I've now built from the word documents you shared and the data I've taken from the DLC product pages.
