Turn 2 - Down by the sea the Hosts have assembled.
The Great King with the aid of a huge hill, a clear sign of divine favour, decides that this day shall be ours and orders the advance. The right wing will advance to the top of the hill and threaten bloody destruction on the enemy while the left wing will attempt to skirmish and hold whatever is thrown out on the open flank.
Turn 10 - Now fully committed the combatants look to the Gods to decide their fate.
The Babylonian right flank advanced swiftly out of the woods to engage those opposite while the remains of their army continued to loiter about the enclosed fields, no doubt reassured by a few irrigation ditches between them and the blood thirsty wave cresting the great hill.
Seeing the Babylonian right flank advance up onto the hill to the scattered woods to meet our forces the Great King, observing the widening gap between their right and their main line, orders our right wing shock troops to turn 90 degrees and march down hill to strike the head of the snake while our second line troops remain on the hill to hold what will surely come.
A stiff fight, a long fight, but the enemies right flank finally crumbles and flees while our valiant defenders on the hill hold just long enough to be recognised as a footnote in offical histories.
Salute!
