Can anyone suggest suitable 15mm figures for armoured Dailami?

Khurasan and Outpost both make great, mixable armoured daylami. Avoid old glory.

I have Old Glory and just wonderful. I bought both the ones from the Arab conquest range and from Seljuk Turks, being the former much better.

Khurasian ones are very nice. the OG ones from the arab conquest and the Seljek Turk would work for the protected boys just fine...

However neither would work for the armored BGs. For those I went with some OG Syrian armored foot with melee weapons. Nice maces, axes, swords, with the odd spear. While not dual tipped, at 15mm that is easily fixed.

I'll look for pictures of the armored ones....

Looking at Jeske's armored Dailami, gave me an idea. There is a very similar figure with a round shield option in the Russian figures in Essex's catalog. Here is an image of the kite-shield version:

The figure code is EMED30a (Assorted spearmen round shield).

With the proper color scheme, I think these would mix well with Dailami figures and present an armored figure with the traditional round shield. You might also sprinkle in some straight unarmored Dailami figures to complete the look.

Cross-breeder of lead.
