Game Settings
Open, Potluck, 24 turns, 40W x 32H maps and 1400 points.
I suggest setting your army as player B. That allows your opponent to accept the challenge and move to deployment immediately.
Slitherine Ranked Games
1. Players are NOT to unilaterally set up matches as Slitherine ranked games.
2. If you wish to rank a game, first contact your opponent and see if they are interested in doing so.
3. If both players are in agreement, matches can be set up as Slitherine ranked games.
4. If a match has been set up as a ranked game unilaterally by your opponent, you are free to set up a new match unranked without this counting as your reroll. However, if you accept a ranked match, and then decide you want to reset it, that will count as your reroll. It's very clear in the challenge screen that a match is ranked; there is a special icon and the ELO ranking of the poster is plainly listed.
Rerolls
Either player may unilaterally require a reroll after viewing the map in the initial deployment phase. Each player is allowed one such reroll. If each player has used their permitted reroll then both players may mutually agree to a third and final reroll. The player requiring the reroll should surrender the match. The player requiring the reroll should repost the challenge making sure to set the parameters correctly in regards to lists, points and map size. No rerolls are allowed after the first turn is played.
Restart
Players may mutually agree to abandon a game and restart until the 3rd turn for whatever reasons they might have. From the 4th turn, games must be played to conclusion. No rerolls are allowed in restarted games; you must play on whatever map is rolled.
If the challenge has been incorrectly set-up, then the player who did not set-up the game will have the choice to restart but only by Turn 3. A game that has reached Turn 4 will become fixed and must be played to conclusion.
Responding to Challenges
IF PLAYER A HAS NOT ACCEPTED A CHALLENGE AFTER 2 WEEKS AND THE PERSON RUNNING THE PERIOD AND THEIR OPPONENT (PLAYER B) HAVE NOT BEEN CONTACTED, PLAYER B NEEDS TO CONTACT PLAYER A AND THE ORGANISER. THIS WILL ALLOW THE ORGANISER TO CONTACT PLAYER A AND TO DETERMINE IF PLAYER B CAN CLAIM THAT GAME AS A 40 - 15 OUTRIGHT VICTORY

*A minor query; you've listed map size at 32 x 32 while the Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules and FAQ has For the Bronze and Iron Age and Dark Ages periods, Open, Potluck, 24 turns, 40W x 32H maps and 1400 points. Who trumps who?
Anyway, until further notice I've gone with my prefered option.

I await your horsey-hordes with trepidation.
(p.s. The rules above state a 36x32 and has always been this for Bronze age, so this is what I have used).

Re: TDC VIII Bronze and Iron Age - Challenges
Yeah, that's correct; I forgot to edit the change in the challenge posting to match that. Done now.markleslie wrote: ↑Sun Jul 06, 2025 6:57 am *A minor query; you've listed map size at 32 x 32 while the Field of Glory II - The Divisional Championships (TDC)-Rules and FAQ has For the Bronze and Iron Age and Dark Ages periods, Open, Potluck, 24 turns, 40W x 32H maps and 1400 points. Re: TDC VIII Bronze and Iron Age - Challenges
We changed this for BA and DA to 40x32, which is in the rules, but I forgot to edit the challenge info. You can continue playing on if you and your opponent are ok with the smaller map.
