A few days ago I reviewed: POAs, ZOCs, and tactics by Mike Chung and Chris Webber. Yesterday, I read the ancients manual, and I am now reading the medieval manual.
I see that the concepts in the title are new to the game. Does anyone have some good YouTube videos which explicitly treats these topics and is not simply a rehash of medieval skins on ancients previous content?
Thank you.

I recommend this playlist by SnuggleBunny. It covers your topic in great detail, but make sure to check ZoCs, Evasion and Pursuit vids to refresh on finer details. He covers 98% of relevant mechanics besides exploits and lvl 2 Infantry General generation strategies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=np5atgY ... BCnkTdRNZV

And here's the bonus spreadsheet that you might find very useful as a reference guide. Take a look at various sheets, not only Combat Strength Modifier calculator.

Thank you. Yes, I watched some of Snugglebunny vids.
Re: Standard wagons/war wagons/stakes/keils ...?
I found out about keils and war wagons.
I would still like see stakes and standard bearing wagons in action.
For the moment, I have been playing Ancients: Rome and Carthage.
Probably tomorrow, it's back to Krasna Polyana. I cycle through games going no more than a week. If I were to play something for 6 months, I would forget how all the other games work.
So, the cycle is Combat Mission, Mius Front, and FOG2 Ancients|Medieval. I would like to add WITE2 into the mix. I buy no new titles ... So, I hope to be able to regularly switch between a set of favorite games.
A year ago, I tried to build an AI expert game assistant. It worked really well for questions I knew the answer to. But the problem is it would hallucinate when it did not know the answer ... it always knew how. "How do you drop a nuke in Shogun 2?" It had the answer. I fired by AI assistant.
