Re: Sengoku Jidai Invitation tournament
We've opened hostilities and are both marching forward in a direct frontal clash that will quickly decide the field...
Latest update 22.06... Turn 4 Sean's dastardly, sneaky Oda have out-teppo'd our mainly levied force, and burst forth from woods managing somehow to outflank our warriors. We fare a quick end. Our peasant illustrator is frantically trying to capture my majestic likeness before he is authorized to release a grossly inflated account of our staunch defense and Oda's underhanded cowardly strategy
Latest update 23.06... Turn 6 Sean's odious Oda are ahead 53/42. Both forces are tired in various states of routing, disordered and fragged. It should be all over in the next one or two turns.

Sean has defeated Clan Takeda who were outflanked and subjected to dishonorable foreign firearms from massed Teppo that decimated our ranks.
Everyone may now undertake the next move and throw the dice.

Turn 4, GDod rolls a six...
- Mark, you need to get a new dice roller. Two snake eyes in a row!
- Both Sean and I landed on a ladder, bypassing the need for an encounter battle. Also, we're allowed an extra 100pts for our next battle (excl. additional artillery) to boot, lucky us!
- Brian and Alan are yet to roll

That last one was a random number generator (random my arse). Previous rolls were on an old Battletech dice I have in a draw, I had thought it loaded but maybe not.

Lucky you Brian... join the 100pt extra club for your next battle. Alan, as you cannot roll a zero, it looks like you have a battle against Fabian. Medium Pot Luck (Fabian has 100pts extra/Alan has send a flank march) good luck gentlemen. Post you choice of armies. Alan, I recommend you set it up as you have more experience. No offence Fabian

It seems unfair that Sean won the battle and I rolled a six to end up on the same square as him. I think it's incumbent on me and for future battles to ensure the possibility is minimized. Thus, I propose to subtract 1 from the dice roll for every 10% difference in the scores. I've re-posted the map to reflect this...

Re: Sengoku Jidai Invitation tournament
My argument is that life is unfair. Some of the greatest generals in history ended up on the losing side due to not having the political clout. I see the fact we are in the same position as you essentially having gained some political favour or ally that my general was maybe to pig headed to befriend or something.
Honestly, I dont think you should move back one square. you got lucky with the dice.
(I dont include myself in that greatest generals in history list, just in case it came off like that haha)

Apologies for the delay. For my game against Fybyn, I will take Hojo 1575-86.
Fabien, what is your choice?
