auto deployment into trucks??

Hi,

is there a way to disable the feature that some of your units get automatically deployed into trucks at start?
The computer always puts the worst possible units into trucks, like machine guns and mortars.
On the defense you normally want to place these in forests or buildings, or somewhere protected but close to the front, and when you have to drive them there in the first turn, your truck gets dangerously close to the enemy.
And on the offense you want to drive your light combat units to the front first, and only when you know where the enemy exactly is will you bring your heavier weapons..
I'm getting more and more annoyed by this auto deployment feature.
