Re: Sengoku Jidai Invitation tournament
Am I the purple guy on the map then?
with my 6, wouldnt I jump up to the second row as I landed on a fortune square and then go along three or have I misunderstood it?
edit : ignore this, I get it. we count square one also.

Correct...purple. No Sean. Start square is 1. Six is one before "Outmaneuver enemy"

It's settled then ... Mark Uesugi 1559-1571 AD vs Brian Ikko - Ikki 1575-82 small, agricultural. Mark to set up (will have to switch off default for different time periods). Good luck gentlemen, may the righteous cause prevail. We're all looking forward to the inevitable boasting and twisted facts.KiwiWarlord wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 7:53 am Gavin I will give the Ikko - Ikki 1575-82 a run for a bit of fun.

Are we supposed to stick with one faction throughout the tournament?

We are up to (approx) move 8. My Flank march arrived a couple of moves ago, 25% of them are still wandering around lost in the bush.markleslie wrote: ↑Mon Jun 02, 2025 10:47 pm Uesugi 1559-1571 vs Ikki 1575-82

Not a shot fired as yet and very few Uesugi troops seen. It appears that my flank is being turned.

A lot of jungle terrain more appropriate for the Kokoda trail and an enemy content to sit in camp drinking tea, no doubt confident in the incredible number of superior troops he has, means no contact as yet.

The observant among you will note the extraordinary number of banners, it seems Ikko-Ikki will be a popular choice going forward.

...You may be comforted to know they're mostly peasants and fanatical monks with high opinions of themselves...they dislike cavalry and real samurai. Oh, and lots of ashiguru helps even up the numbers

Re: Sengoku Jidai Invitation tournament
Night fell with no result.
The Ikko-Ikki had a Flank March arrive; as it advanced through the woods it stumbled across the Uesugi Honjin and blasted it to pieces killing the C-n-C.
A short time later a Uesugi Sub General was lost in Melee with Ikko-Ikki Warriors.
Uesugi Army lost their C-n-C and a Sub General.
Ikko-Ikki 21% Uesugi 17%

A draw means neither adversary advances along the green bricked road before the next dice round. All and sundry may throw for the next round.
I threw a wasted five, as I have to stop on skirmish. As everyone has moved on I get to move on without a fight on the subsequent round.

ONE!
Uesugi Kenshin is not as mobile as he once was.

Mark 5+6 (stop- skirmish battle) +1 = 12
Brian 6+4 (stop- skirmish battle) +5 = 15
Alan 1+6+5 = 12
Fabian 2+4 (stop - waiting for encounter battle)
Sean 6+3 (stop skirmish battle)
Hopefully, I calculated this correctly...
I'll use Takeda 1576-1582 force small, narrow, agricultural
