Civil War 2 - Game won't start from launch screen

I purchased this on Steam at start of 2025 but have been unable to get it to launch at all.
The first screen comes up - I can hear the click on the Play Civil War 2 but nothing happens. When I click on the Manual below that launches ok. Any help?

I tried to attach the DirectX file but says .txt and Word is invalid formats?

I know this is of little help, but I have it working on my system [Windows 11 PC]. You might consider seeing if you can switch out your Steam key for an Ageod [Slitherine] one. It's a great game.

Maybe run as administrator and/or change compatibility setting.
