Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
The replays of Imeror and them are exciting to watch.
Interesting attack at the task force. From the west with tanks through the forest.
But the T-90 was able to defend its position until turn 12. Aren't the Finnish Leopard tanks better?
The bunker mission was exciting and very close several times (3), the Russian troops almost won if they hadn't driven them off the airfields at the last second.
Yes, I think I placed the saboteur in the right place.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
Also an interesting mission ) ) I was a little off with the defence )))) It turned out that the enemies sometimes appeared behind my back )))) Also the Russians attacked various objects and a couple of planes I had fell into the water because they ran out of fuel )) I should have at least given a flying tanker for refuelling in the air since the terrain shows that there is enough fuel to return but suddenly it runs out )

Good mission but the damn Russian submarine is very strong and agile ))))) Well, let's consider it a battlefield reconnaissance and we need to pick up something effective on sea targets ))))

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
Mission 07: Good scenario, even if I think that cargos take too long to destroy with the assets we have. Most attack remove only 0-1 HP, until the german frigate arrive. It often requieres several turn to destroy each of them, even with 2 corvettes and a Poseidon attacking focused on one target.
By the way, I suggest Uzbek to also take a Poseidon aircraft. Average against cargo, but deadly against sub! And the submarine is pretty slow here, it is easy to follow it with the aircraft. I was lucky, it was able to escape only 1 of my 4 attacks
Replay: https://www.mediafire.com/file/mf1puhk8 ... 0.rar/file
Mission 08: ...You know I love naval operations. Best scenario of this campaign, immediately (but I have a bias, I may be wrong
)
Replay: https://www.mediafire.com/file/chrwfqhe ... 4.rar/file
I also decided to challenge myself again.
I saw an island with powerful anti-ship and anti-air missile batteries + an entrenched (at level 22!!!) naval infantry unit with 15 strenght: I understood I was not supposed to attack that.
Challenge accepted

"Let's show them that no fortress will protect them against our fury !!!"

They will not learn how to sail to my XXI century vikings
I had to sacrifice a corvette, but that allowed me to destroy the S-300 battery; that was essential in my plan

Edit : I just saw "Tobi Oil" as a cargo name

Now they've figured me out. I didn't want the island fortress to be conquered with the air defense.
But well, they made it anyway but lost a ship. If it was a ship from the core units, they might regret it.
Yes, he drives for me, he has loaded sun oil for me.
I thought why not, the other freighter is called Oil of Olaf.

The German armed forces are being upgraded, we are getting the first Poseidon this year and the F-35 next year, among other things. That was one of the reasons why this campaign was set in the near future.

Yes, the cable slitters are a bit difficult to sink, but otherwise this mission would be won in 10 rounds. I also thought of the submarine and the spy ship, which makes the whole thing a bit spicier. It worked.
Mission Röyttä shouldn't have been too difficult, though. The player should have the opportunity to train his fleet for the upcoming final missions.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
I have learned something new. In Mission Command, Usbek used the wooded edge of the map to sneak up to the command center unnoticed. In Röyttä, Imeror used the unguarded western edge of the map to guide the tankers and cargo ships safely south. From now on, I will also be paying attention to these parts of the map in future campaigns.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
Victory, General Toby! Finland is safe.
End of my feedback about the campaign, with replay :
Mission 09 (Oil Rig): https://www.mediafire.com/file/0pu9ckpa ... 8.rar/file
Very cool scenario. Maybe too easy, but we don't need challenges on every level.
We have to organize air patrols to anticipate the ennemy approach effectively, and that's cool.
Mission 10 (Svalbard): https://www.mediafire.com/file/wcwovlpw ... 3.rar/file
A nice conclusion to the campaign that need us to deploy our assets from every category (land, air, ... and sea!) in a pretty big scenario.
A long journey that requieres good combined arms coordination.
It had one important problem: some units can't be deployed since "strategic transports" are apparently not available to them. For example, my German Panzerhaubitze 2000 thus stayed in my reserve, since LCAC can't take them in this scenario. Same thing with auxiliary norwegian units: I captured a port thinking they can enter another LCAC to redeploy elsewhere; but they were stuck there since they can't load inside another again...
Great campaign !

The invaders suffered high casualties, while our men suffered few. If they come again, our veterans will be ready!

Thank you for your feedback. The PzH2000 is also not loadable in the original MC like some other units. For example, Finland was not in NATO yet when MC was finalized, but I fixed that, I forgot to check this for some of them.Imeror wrote: ↑Sun May 25, 2025 7:19 pm Victory, General Toby! The problem with Oil Rig was that the more planes or ships the player had, the better the overall control was. When I played the first two times, it wasn't that easy because the submarines were sinking my platforms. Speaking of sunk... when you sink the two Oiltankers in Oil Rig, you see Arnold.
But I'm glad that the campaign was fun.

Well my tactics and strategy is not new it was still Germans tested it in 1940 ) And so think outside the box and appear in places where you are not expected my thing, and not only mine confirmed by the real history of Hannibal and Suvorov ))) especially if there are villages and towns for which give prestige way a little bit but there and garrisons usually kartodel does not put )))). Well have a nice day everyone I'm going to sink my fellow countrymen - reports will be when the successes come ))) I don't watch your replay so far so as not to be a parrot, the only time I watch them is when I'm not very clear what to do or have a crisis of mind )))) But after passing I will compare how we all think and act especially in non-standard maps ))))Tobi72 wrote: ↑Sun May 25, 2025 5:16 pm I have learned something new. And that damn German ship its repair cost me a lot of prestige hope they will justify my prestige capital investment ))))

Well, I also passed this one, but I had to sign up on the 13th move as I didn't always have time to destroy the last cable spacer )))) But details as always in screenshots and replay )))) I liked the next one too, I suffered more that my aeroplanes fell down if the weather was bad )))) Well, the last Russian airfield was turned into a shooting gallery for Nato ships and terminators from the Norwegian special forces who unlike everyone else can fly helicopters and planes are just beautiful )))) Fighter bomber with a bomb or super missile I will no longer buy because it is useless and often falls into the sea, and it is an expensive toy at my poor prestige )))) To be continued ))))

As I understand this is the last mission and I won't need ground troops I will have to sell someone else or I will have some lame aviation that suffers losses more from lack of fuel than from enemy fire or sell these planes to buy multi-purpose F-35 otherwise this battle over the sea reminds me of a battle between cool aliens and ancient aeroplanes )))) And Toby has his own tanker )))) he is like a Baltic sheikh who owns a ‘shadow’ fleet !!!!.
Great easter egg ))))

You should not dissolve all ground units. This is the 9th mission out of 10.And they need better refueling management.

Damn it I screwed up closer to the Russian headquarters as there were reinforced Guards Ivans who were massively cloned instead of killed )))) Ok I'll go through this mission again later when I'm in the mood ..... All in all a great company and if you play it not carelessly saving all your troops it's not so difficult ))))

I replayed the 9th mission without selling land units but I had to sell the aviation to replace it with F-35 A ) Tomorrow I plan to finish this campaign with a victory )

I prepared for the attack but now I have a question )))) Swedish tanks can't travel by barge or air ))))) These two tanks have been with me for a long time they are even pumped now I either need to sell them or just leave them but the prestige gained from their sale to me would be a reserve + can buy a couple more units )))) Yes, it's a dilemma.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
This is something I hadn't really considered. I converted most of Finland's units to Nato transport but neglected Sweden. When the mod ModernConflicts was created, Finland and Sweden were not yet in NATO.
If I were you, I would take a close look at the map and then decide where to land and deploy these vehicles. However, the normal Norwegian units should have Nato air transport.

My friend Swedish tanks can't suddenly become Norwegian )))) Also strange logic of ports they pass Swedish 155 mm self-propelled howitzer Artillerisystem 08 Archer. but light troop guns do not )))) Naval aircraft also suddenly drop they have enough fuel but on the next turn there is no more .... And it would not hurt to make full-fledged ports in the beginning on the islands or there the local airfield staff teleported ))))
P.S.
Air refueling: F/A-18 Super Hornet refueling F-35C
https://vk.com/clip-145294610_456251164
The image shows a rare but technically possible scenario: a deck-mounted F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet acting as an air tanker and refueling an F-35C fifth-generation fighter.
Technical details:
- Refueling system: uses an Aerial Refueling Store (ARS) pod, better known as the “Buddy Pod”. It is suspended under the fuselage of the F/A-18 and contains both a pumping unit and a hose-and-drogue system.
- The fuel is delivered through a flexible hose up to 20 meters long, at the end of which a basket receiver (drogue) is attached. The refueling aircraft (in this case, the F-35C) uses a retractable fuel intake on the port side for docking.
- The maximum transferable fuel mass is about 1500-2000 kg per sortie, depending on the configuration and the remaining fuel of the F/A-18 itself.
- Purpose: This scheme is used on aircraft carriers to extend the range of strike aircraft, especially in the absence of strategic tankers such as the KC-135 or KC-46.
- F-35C - a version of the fighter adapted for naval aviation: reinforced landing gear, increased wing area and the ability to refuel by hose-and-drogue system (unlike the F-35A, which uses a flying boom).
The tactical purpose is to support deck aviation in long-range operations, refueling when flying with a full combat load or during the return phase to the aircraft carrier.
This method is widely used in the U.S. Navy until the MQ-25 Stingray unmanned refueling drones are fully operational.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
Maybe it's the translation. I know that you can't simply swap weapons from different nations. Maybe take a look at a replay of Imeror, he presented a good tactic.
I'll take another look at this harbor in the north.
It's probably not in the right place.
There are plenty of airports and ports where you can repair or refuel airplanes and ships. In a replay it seemed to me that they had simply forgotten to fly an airplane back in time to refuel it. I have not lost a single aircraft in this campaign due to lack of fuel.
I took the settings for the airplanes from MC.

I could make the Swedish units with NATO transport loadable for water in an update.
Open the SWE folder, copy and paste the equipment file into the folder C:\Users\name\Documents\My Games\Panzer Corps\mods\Cold Breeze\Data.
