Turn 2 from the Irish positions.
The short pants Boys ready to play the numbers game, the Scots seemingly ready to indulge.



Can't really remember the details of this other than the Scots quickly thought better of battle against the dreaded Kerns and turned their right flank, hidden behind the hill, and scarpered to occupy the high ground in the centre where they spent the remainder of the game trying to hold on.



In the end it was a numbers game, numbers with long knives and an attitude.

Both really good games of mainly spear vs spear. At the mid point both matches were in the balance, but decent dice helped push me over the line. Thanks to my opponent for two close games.

Division E

I choose the Byzantines to challenge princpesromanes Georgians 1008 on a middle-eastern plain. Clearly a poor choice!

Under my command, the Georgians defeated the Byzantines 52 to 19.
Under princepesromanes command, the Georgians soundly defeated the Byzantines 41 to 13.

Basically the Tagmatic 50% archers/50% lancers couldn't get in enough shots to compensate for the 50% lance giving them the confidence to counter charge (i.e. not run away) from the Georgian lancers.

I'd say a good learning opportunity, though I'm not quite sure exactly what I would do differently with the tagmatics!
