Multiplayer glitches escalating?

I have three multiplayer games going right now and two of them are glitched, just hangs forever on the rising sun logo when trying to load. To make matters more concerning, one of those games has the load issue on the other players end so it isn't just me. This is a thing which has happened before but only very, very rarely. Like no more than once a year. As the game gets older and older I start to worry neglect takes its toll, so maybe this is an example?

Two questions then. Are there many other players out there experiencing this problem? And does anybody have an idea how to fix it? Many thanks ahead of time for all input.

Hi, Yes, my fellow co-players and I experienced the same issues on several occasions. For example: 2v1 Cherbourg hung at turn 32 of 42: extremely frustrating!. It's so bad I think I'll stop playing the game although I like it a lot. I would even pay for an extra expansion if the bugs were taken care of @The Artistocrats! Pretty please!
