Ptolemaic Egypt oddity

Hi. Involved in a MP match. Antigonids are AI as all my other neighbors are. When pulling turn 9 see my whole kingdom is stripped. Earlier I had marched in and defeated the Antigonids and took Jerusalem. This turn Nabatene Client State status ended. Last turn I tried to make peace with Macedonia at 24%. No response yet.

Antigonids suddenly not at war with me (I did not want that to end) Rhodes through diplo is now in Protector Status, which I wanted.
One thing good out of this is with the sudden ending of the war with the Antigonids, I was able to to create a Province where Iudea (Jerusalem) is with the adjoining region.

Pulled my turn with these Blue Stripes. Searched through the UI could not find any notification or reason Egypt is displayed so. This striped deal is bugging me out lol.

Is it a Diadochi special rule or something else going on?

Edit got about 100 hours plus playing SP with Kolchis, and have only about 75 years (Turns) left. Never saw anything like this...

Thats a funny scrnario. I believe you gave away Rhodus your Client State status by proposing that they will become Protector in return. In other words you agreed in being their Client State for free. BUT in your case thats not bad at all.

First of all wars and established treaties ended. Thats encompasses Nabatene status AND both Macedonia & Antigonid wars. On top of that they got your temporary held territories, but you got theirs in return. And I like to imagine that ratio was pulled in your favor.

Basically you exploited the game system to achieve equilibrium state with some benefits and minor inconvenience. WHAT TO DO NOW: Go to Rhodes and break your Client State status. WHAT TO DO IN THE FUTURE: ban this exploit play if its gonna be performed on purpose instead of by mistake.

Wow. Thanks. Yeah it was an accident. I was trying to get Rhodes to be a Client State of Ptolemiac Egypt, not the other way around. Was going to use it as a base to take Lycia from the Antigonids. Perhaps Cyprus also, as they are both Objectives and have valuable buildings.
Also thanks for the solution to fix this.
Ha this may be befuddle my opponents, though it's early and they have their own problems.
Definitely an exploit if done on purpose.

Remember that your nations has Archers and Time doesnt. It takes 2 turns at max (likely 1) to reach shores of South Italy from the Egypt. Be on the lookout for your Rome opponent actions. He likely to overcommit to the north fighting tribes before going to Cartage.

That a good openening to plunder Syracuse and South Italy. What likely to happen: he queues up rather meager forces that would appear in the provincial capitals after he receives a note that you Declared War on him. The goal is to have 3 full fledged armies. 1 for the Plains terrain and 2 for for Rough terrain frontages. You will easily crush those fledgling recruits and leave some troops (maybe even 1 skirmishes) to blockade the ability of him to hire more.

Meanwhile going on the Assault rampage against weak garrisons followed by Pillage action to destroy his Population and Economy which would take decades for him to rebuild. Ignore his proper stacks tho which he likely to pull back for decense. Thats hit and run operation at its core designed to stop Rome steamrolling everyone.

While it is optimal to kick Rome when he is laying down, but to have a fun game for all you might want to teach all your neighbours how to write in hieroglyphic first :)
