So here is the link to the upgraded scenario. See the editing notes at the bottom of the previous page of this thread.

I will leave a post in the BrucErik Studio thread calling Erik's attention to this. If he approves of the changes, he may incorporate them in a version 1.2 of Operation Olympic.
In the meantime, you can download the file and extract the 04Sendai folder directly over what you currently have in this folder:
C:\Users\[your name]\Documents\My Games\Order of Battle - WW2\Campaigns\Operation Olympic 1945\Scenarios
Bear in mind that this upgraded version has three new PNG image files; make sure they are included. See the sequence in my next post.

I can't wait to try this out!!!! downloading it now.
Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic - West
My scenarios' folder looks like this:
You show 04Sendai
So do I place these files in 06Sendai or 12Sendai2?You show 04Sendai
Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic - West
The first scenario - Tenegashima still freezes after Japan move on turn 4. I can't get the game to advance. Also, the message about planes running out of fuel should not be.

Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic - West
Sorry, I think I misled you in my previous post. I took a snapshot of the folder as it appears in my custom Scenarios folder, which is where one works on editing it and perhaps can play it independently from the campaign. You are probably looking at this folder on your computer, too. I took that snapshot down.
The revised scenario folder, named 04Sendai, has to be added to the Operation Olympic campaign in its own Scenarios folder. Here is the sequence. Pay careful attention to the address bar:

Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic - West
Regarding this, I wish I knew what to tell you. I played that scenario and it worked fine, albeit with a slight "Thinking" hesitation on Turn 4.
I looked at this scenario in the editor, and I see no triggers that would negatively affect things on Turn 4. There are no overloaded AI teams with dozens of units trying to optimize their orders at once.
I know it's frustrating, but I can only refer you back to what I wrote previously about this.
Regarding the message, it's supposed to be a reminder of mission limitations, not a warning that the planes are running out of fuel at that moment. It probably could have been worded better.

Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic - West
In a subsequent post in the BrucErik thread, Erik said this: "I found some issues with the Sendai scenario and attempted a quick fix for the MicroMod version of the campaign." What those issues would be at this point, I do not know. So keep an eye on his thread(s) for any future development of this scenario and the Operation Olympic campaign.
Perhaps he will take a look at 01Tanegashima for you, too. As I said, I went through it, looking for the usual suspects that may cause over-"Thinking" and program crash, but could find nothing.
Thanks again for your interest, and the best of gaming luck to you!

Thank you for helping. I will try on another desktop and on a laptop.
Re: Custom Campaign - Operation Olympic -
All of my computers freeze on turn 4. They do generate a file error that states about sending it to the developer.
