Finally, the Jagdpanther was destroyed by infantry:

Re: Reception Towards Frontlines DLC
I resent this remark.
This might be the wrong place to request it. But one of my favorite games as a kid was Advance Wars on the Gameboy Advance. As an adult the only thing I feel the game is lacking when I go back to it, is 'close/ground' defense type system and maybe 'soft/hard', otherwise it would be the perfect cheerful on the go game. AND it has the added bonus of not dragging in real world Nazi baggage that some posters above mentioned can turn the off.
As a sweetener to the deal of getting this 'PC Wars' game: I would be more than happy to play that cartoonish style of game with truly devilish general and hero traits!!!

Re: Reception Towards Frontlines DLC
I would massively prefer to remove heroes but the ai seems to still get them. I do not like them because they trivialize difficulty by turning high end expensive armor into do everything buttons. Over strength elite high end armor with double attack, guaranteed overrun and ignore close terrain makes the game intensely dull. Similar situation with double reaction fire on an anti tank unit. It basically vaporizes any number of incoming enemy tank units until it runs out of ammo.
The whole thing just feels bad. I don’t feel like I’m winning through good tactics and careful play, I just feel like I’m winning because I knew to stack the good heroes on the right units and slam the over strength meter on the hero units all the way to max. Woo.
By contrast the early part of the campaign I feel like I’m winning because I’m making clever use of terrain and tactics and all the mechanics. It’s a cool vibe. Sad it doesn’t last.

Consider the heroes the AI gets a handicap for the fact the AI is a bit... limited. Still, I agree a button to tur them off entirely as an option would be welcome. Customization is this game's greatest strength and I think this element should be incorporated for the players who want to disable heroes entirely.prestidigitation wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 5:08 pm I would massively prefer to remove heroes but the ai seems to still get them. Still not you can just not deploy any hero you get. There is no mechanic that forces you to use them, you can in fact freely disband all.

Re: Reception Towards Frontlines DLC
I quite enjoyed the Battle of the Bulge DLC.
If anything, I wanted MORE Allies.
The Vigilant/Sixth Sense (and Butcher on those ATs)... It's fine. Same with super high starting entrenchment. It's the scenario designer's way of dealing with the limitations of the game engine. I had a few laughs, but I rolled with it. I mean, what can you do when the AI will gleefully commit suicide in both bad weather and close terrain?

As long as I don't see mass "Last Stand" heroes, encirclement solves everything really.nexusno2000 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 6:43 pmThe Vigilant/Sixth Sense (and Butcher on those ATs)... It's fine. Why do you talk like that? Stop talking like that. It's excessive and stupidRetributarr wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 5:22 amIf that happens!!!... the "Extreme Excitement and Stress"... of this 'Euphoric-Moment'... might just cause you to 'Inadvertently'... As Expected!... i anticipated that you might take this "Posting"_"Quite-Hard!"... which would be really a normal-reaction for almost anybody. But-In-Reality!... all that was happening was that i couldn't refuse the opportunity to take "Advantage" of an "Easy-Opportunity" to have some "Fun"... unfortunately at your expense. Sorry about that!... no-real-harm was intended.Thunderhog wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 6:08 pmWhy do you talk like that? Stop talking like that.
