China wasn't the only Nation to suffer injustices... there were many other Countries and Nations affected as well.
Joseph Stalin for example, Starved-Killed in a great Famine of Ukraine... approximately 10,000,000 Ukranians in order to force them to bend their Knee to Russia.
6,000,000 Jews were put to death in German Concentration Camps. Hundreds of thousands of Poles were shot and killed and buried in mass graves in the [Kamponista???] Forest in northern Poland. And on and on it goes!... so these instances in themselves do not stop or hinder the study of WarFare or Military Strategy.
Yes!... the Japanese were Cruel and Barbaric... as well. In for example in the aftermath of the American Carrier Launched Bomber Doolittle Raid on Tokyo. The American Bomber Fliers were short on Fuel and were forced to land in China to escape Japanese capture. The Japanese inturn then Killed 350,000 Chinese for giving assistance to these American Fliers.
These Crimes against Humanity do not stop the study of Warfare or Military History!.

It is not that easy in PzC 2, as the game is mostly geared towards armoured, mobile warfare, Euro or desert-style.
I don't know how far the first attempts went for Pacific content (I only know what's publicly available about it).
But when I look into the game now Pac stuff would need serious changes IMO. They might be possible, but if it is on the table I don't know.
I remember the few SP maps released more recently, Attu, Imphal. I actually liked them, but for full campaigns lots of work would still be needed.

I was so looking forward to it as well. Every day I would check the steam forum, this forum, and my email for access to the beta. It really sucked to hear when they shelved it. All that work towards a DLC just for it to get shelved must have been heartbreaking for the team working on it too.bebro wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 10:16 amIt is not that easy in PzC 2, as the game is mostly geared towards armoured, mobile warfare, Euro or desert-style.

Well here's how I see it:
Disclaimer: I'm not talking in any official role here, the following is just my opinion.
Various threads here mention that the naval aspect of the game should be improved.
That aside I'd add that for a Pacific cam with significant naval action (as in: those big, iconic naval battles) another challenge is to get all the ship classes in as 3d models (or at least the most important ones).
From my XP in OOB these were the most time-consuming things to model.
Some folks at Steam debated if pure air-ground cams in Pacific would be doable, so that naval is less of a concern. Since we now have those SP maps mentioned above that may be worth a go, there's several possibilities.
However, if you check Japanese units available now you'll also find lots of issues with ahistoric data setups. I'm not blaming anyone here, but for a fullblown cam this should IMO be improved.
And then it's also a question if players would accept it when it's less about mass-use of mechanized/armored units. Sure, you can make it differently on the ground that PzC is not a diehard sim, but at some point the question would be if Pacific content makes sense when it turns out just like Euro content.
IMO it should reflect the theatre as good as possible with its particular challenges. Again, all that is just my POV, and we just have to see if something Pacific still happens or not (I can't answer that).

I would like to see Frontlines "Winter Storm" where you try to save 6th Army from encirclement.

Hello,
it would be great if something were to happen in this regard. Especially since a longer campaign on both the Japanese and American sides is more than appropriate in this theater of war.
My tip: War Stories France; perhaps we'll see some friends from Poland again.
Frontlines Russo-Finnish War: Both sides are available here.
I could also imagine playing the German Afrika Corps as an AO, of course.
I'm really enjoying Cyrenica so far.
Although, on the Italian side, it's disappointing that I'm winning the battles, but it doesn't have any impact at all?!
The English side is more atmospheric, as it moves on to the offensive after defensive battles.
Playing the individual scenarios on both sides was perfectly fine.
greetings
