Div A
alexhstandish (Lithuanian) drew with anderarcos11 (Teutonoic).Lithuanians loss 36, Teutonics 55 at nightfall
Last game for the Lithuanians who could not buy a win in this championship !
Both sides set up between woods and then opted not to advance. That becoming clear, the Lithuanians decided to chance their arm (rightly fearful of superior knights) and advanced, seeing some rough to hide in in front of the Tuetonics.
The Lithuanian bow eventually managed to beat the Baltic foot and some very resilient crossbows......but suffered heavily against the knights. The Lithuanian cavalry were as useless as they have been in every battle !!
Thanks to the organisers and my opponents.

Div B
alexhstandish (Axumite) beat Rob123 (Andalusian) 60:59
As the score shows, this was an epic fight which went right to the wire. Gold medals to the Andalusian veteran spear who beat all comers. Meanwhile, the Axumiite foot managed to beat up the other lesser Andalusian foot. Camels and bow managed to eventually beat some but not all of the Andalusian cavalry.
Thanks for the game Rob123.

Morat Carthaginian (Hannibal in Italy) 216-203 + Samnite allies defeated random27 Hebrew 681-586 + Kushite: 60-40
Carthaginians left most of their cavalry at home for this one, and took as much heavy and medium foot as they could find. Enemy chariots wreaked fearful havoc in the early stages, but once the Carthaginian foot got to work, they were able to find some flanks, take out the opposition foot and grind out a result.
Thanks to random27 for a good game.

Division A
Stones1985 (Parthian with Seleucid Allies) beat Aetius39 (Spartan) by a score of 42 to 12.
My opponents Spartan army was made up of almost entirely hoplites and light infantry. The battle started with some skirmishing. The initial heavy infantry clash went my way with the Seleucid pike and Legionaries supported on the flanks by the cataphracts achieved some initial success and built up a lead.
After that each side there lost various units on the flanks but the Seleucid centre was able to maintain it's progress and turn the lead into a winning one.
Thanks for the game.

random27 versus markleslie will be over as soon as he opens his turn.
anderarcos11 versus markleslie is making very very slow progress, at some point it will be called a draw.

carpenkm Antigonid beat Challenge 1 (Persian) 41 -15
The pikes threw caution to the wind and just pushed forward to engage and break the sparabara foot, Luck there was a sea of the left plank restricting movement. well played - it finished too quickly at the end.

Div A
Karvon Cimmerian 750-600 + Thracian 680-461 defeated Aetius39 Spartan 680-461 52-25
The Spartans initially deployed a long line of hoplites between two large woods.
We sent forward a large swarm of light foot supported by some medium foot to clear the woods on the left, and a smaller number of light foot supported by light horse to probe the woods on the right. A screen of light horse trotted up in the center to began harassing fire on the less armored hoplites. Our main body of horse archers held back a bit behind the screen in support, with a few moving up as openings allowed.
Our concentrated fire began to show effects as hoplites became disordered, and the Spartans charged along the line to drive our horse back and try to shield the more damaged units. Gaps started to emerge, and we moved up to take advantage of these, continuing to focus fire on the less armored hoplites.
On our left, a protracted skirmish developed in and around the woods as our more numerous lights and mediums slowly drove back and destroyed the enemy lights.
On our right, Spartans sortied out of the woods and drove back our skirmishers on to our supporting cavalry. We concentrated our fire on the less armored Spartans and slowly wore them down.
Now beyond the woods, the Spartans were more vulnerable on their flanks, and we were able to shift and concentrate fire more effectively, gradually shredding more and more of the less armored units.
The Spartans continued to launch charges to drive off our horse, and attempted to maintain some sort of order in the process. They managed to do this in the center, but on the flanks they got a bit spread out. This gave us opportunities to surround and kill a few isolated units.
In the end, these losses added up and the Spartans finally broke.

Re: TDC VII Later Medieval - Results
Division A has a lot of games to play please hurry up as we have about a week to go. I have sent PMs to some of you as well.
If there are any scores not reported, please report them as i will update the chart again before next weekend.
If you see any errors let me know.
In Division A tyronec is in an almost unassailable position in 1st place, but Cherebushka could catch up if all the games get played.
In Division B all games by one are completed. IMC put together a run of impressive wins at the end to get by mcfcivo by 40 points.......well done!

Re: TDC VII Bronze and Iron Age - Results
If you are going to keep DrudgeP lost games in the matrix and not void them
then the other opponents should get a 40-15 scores as per the rules of a forfeit
then the other opponents should get a 40-15 scores as per the rules of a forfeit
