What are the requirements for the large concentric castle?

I am confused about building the final castle.

I have a fortification level of 43, and the tooltips tell me there is a Large Concentric Castle I can build, but it never appears in the build queue even if I try to spend authority.



I have the Concentric Castle already in place. I have stone produced in the region (otherwise, I couldn't even build the Concentric Castle). Am I missing something? Just really unlucky?

Concentric Castle and Large Contrentric Castle are tier 5, so they are mutually exclusive.
For LCC you need fortification level 45.

Oh, so the tooltip isn't clear on that.

And that doc you linked to me shows that the LCC requires 2 slots. Am I reading it correctly? If so, I wonder if it's worth building.

I don't play this game much (only MP, a few scenarios).
From my point of view, if you're a big country you're generally attacking, and that requires more of a field army than a castle. The castle is there because it is there.

The largest castles also requires stone in the same region, iirc.

Castles provide other perks beyond walls (Authority, Training)...
