AOredone Warsaw Question

if I quick play thru Warsaw using runany victory. do I miss any significant New Heroes or weapons caches? I find playing Warsaw very time consuming with the outcome inevitable. thanks

Well, be sure to recruit at start Micheal Wittman, who later will become one of your best heroes, and wait for him to spawn on the field with his recon unit at turn 1... then you can safely use runany victory, you will be missing only the elite reward (a collection of top Polish equipment including prototypes: 25 7TPjw, 19 14TP, 19 PZL50Jastrzab and 19 PZL38Wilk) which is not a big deal. You'll be missing also the request transfer of Rudel at the end of the campaign, I honestly don't think this has any consequences, but I'm not one hundred percent sure about this

Rudel will be retired at turn 2 of Denmark scenario (to come back later as tactical bomber pilot). Guess you have to wait until there if everything is still fine even not playing Warsaw... or you can savegame at Warsaw at turn 1 after getting Wittman and then just runany victory any scenarios until Denmark just to test if it's all ok with Rudel
Anyway tbh I think you should play Warsaw, if only because you can gain a lot of prestige that will help you in subsequent scenarios against the Russians

I played it after all. but then a strange thing occurred. I chose a 5k Hero and got Konrad Gross. however, there is no specialty assigned to him? I've never encountered this? any idea what enhancement or ability comes with Konrad Gross? or a Hero with no designated trait/ability?

This happens when there is no hero left for u.
At the start of the map the script counts ur heros and checks which u already have in what number. in 1939 of AOredone it is set to max 2 heros of a given type. if the game creates an empty hero, u already have 2 heros of evry possible type of the 5k category. which sums up to 41(18 regular strong heroes times 2 plus the 5 special heroes times 1) heros of the 5k category.

There is 2 ways this can happen.
1. a crooked LUA
2. massive use of "cheat NewHero"

massive use of cheat NewHero. no bigge. I love Heroes and go overboard. it's what I enjoy and trying different "Hero Combo Packs" is what I enjoy. the never ending search for the "Ultimate Super Hero" config!
