I hope I haven't forgotten anything.
Have fun!

Note: The GRU and KGB bonus units can be moved by helicopter using the battle mode button.
This is an immense advantage, as the terrain in some missions is very difficult to access for normal units. These units therefore do not require an airfield.

1st mission accomplished, polkovnik Tobi. Border secured, troops advancing, no causalties.

Solid scenario, good start.

Oh good, you're quick. The first one shouldn't be too hard either. I designed the whole campaign at medium difficulty. I had perhaps exaggerated the topic a bit in the past, especially with regard to YAMATO.

I often made this mistake, I can't blame you
A good balance is often hard to find.
PS: the difficulty was fine, don't get it wrong. Kunduz was nicely defended at the end, and I almost lost a unit assaulting it.

But I can already concede victory: I don't have enough time to do more than 1/2 scenarios per day. I can't keep the pace
I'll let you go ahead to reco the terrain, my troops will follow soon.

Re: Campaigns for Modern Conflicts
The second scenario is even better.
It need a clever use of infantry and transport helicopters; the last one being a very good mechanic but too rarely used in MC. And I was lucky, a KGB special unit already joined the show. Having the ability to always have an air transports ready to redeploy them is perfect in a custom campaign designed around helicopters and a counter-insurgency.
A replay, for those who may be stuck or want to see other strategy that what they have done :
https://www.mediafire.com/file/kz8fdwan ... 5.rar/file
I was a little bit hesitant in some of my moves... I know it's just the beginning of the war, but I already expected deadly ambushes... and I stupidly took 2 tanks in this montainous terrain
My bad, I was not focus at all at the start of the scenario
This campaign has a really good start, but Kabul will await tomorrow
Even if...

I needed to capture the Palace, at least. Now, my day can end.

That was a good idea with the reruns, they should release it as a series on Netflix.
It's interesting that Imeror and I chose and deployed almost identical troops at the beginning of the campaign, while Usbek chose a different but equally successful path with lots of infantry. I'm curious to see how it continues.

Well, I don't want to give too much away, but you'll be glad if you can fall back on tanks with some experience in combat later on.

Uzbek is just an old warrior - so he is a wise and experienced commander ) ) Also I read memoirs of the commander of the 40th army Gromov in the beginning the Soviets also led T-72 and T-64 tanks )))) But T-64 was warmed up by the engine, and T-72 simply did not find an equal opponent and they were taken back to the USSR, grenade launchers and recoilless guns hollow everything from Abrams to Leopards + mines and ambushes ) Nato also did the same, I showed you pictures of 60 ton monsters in Afghanistan ))))The last mass war of tank wedges was fought in the neighbourhood of Afghanistan where Iraq and Iran fought with each other according to all classical canons of World War II )))) Really I don't know if there is such an event in your dimension the company is fictitious )))) Yes and against guerrillas always good special forces as sometimes Toyota can beat a tank if it is correctly and in the right place ))))Tobi72 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 08, 2025 9:14 am That was a good idea with the reruns, they should release it as a series on Netflix.![]()

p.s.Even Shilka's radar was removed and ammunition was added, for which the spirits called this weapon Shaitan arba)))In Afghanistan, the Soviets used ZSU-23-4s to engage
against ground targets. The Shilka was stripped of its unnecessary radar and increased
and increased its ammunition to 4,000 rounds. After the Shilka appeared on the battlefield.
the Dushman usually began to retreat.

In this ZU-23-2 mod, you need to teach how to shoot with direct fire, make a button to switch fire modes from the air to the ground) And so I see that visually everything has not changed much and the mighty Soviet army looks like a Russian collective farm that participated in the war in Chechnya 1994-2000)))
