What Baccus 6mm miniatures for Pyrrhos??

Post by The Desertfox »

I want to play FoG with the 6mm Baccus miniatures. But I am a little lost with the army list for Pyrrhos in Rise of Rome and the models on the baccus site (https://www.baccus6mm.com/index.php?con ... il=ancient) What models can/must I choose for the different troop types, espacially for the cavalry.

I am thankfull for any help :D

Regards from Germany

I would use Thessalian Heavy Cavalry (AMA6) as "Xystophoroi" and Hellenistic/Greek Cavalry (AMA12) as "Javelin Armed Heavy Cavalry", as their weapons are the shortest available.

"Phalanx" would be normal macedonian style pikemen (AMA1-4), "Hoplites" would be Greek Hoplites (AGR1).
Archers/Slingers/Javelinmen can be found as Psiloi in the Greek range, too (AGR3,4 and 10).
"Elephants" are AMA16.

In 6mm, you don't need to be too exact with your miniatures. :)
Hope that helped.

Marcel, Peter Berry - the owner and genius behind Baccus 6mm - is an very friendly and helpful guy. Write him directly, and he will be happy to help you determine the best figures from his line. His minis are phenomenal, and the mass effects are amazing.

yup. i bought a boatload of 6mm War of Spanish Succession from them.

awesome place to deal with.

if you do pikes, make sure you swap out the bendy lead with pins. sounds like a lot of work, but the end result is well worth it (and put them on 15mm bases!!)

Although Baccus makes great figures, I went with the Rapier Miniatures pike. Their figures are fully compatable with Baccus and their pikes stay straight.
