feature to capture whole islands

Did you know when you capture all flags and all supply sources on an island, and there are no enemies, you will automatically capture the whole island?

I think the game automatically fills every "empty" area automatically. I've advanced along two roads that connected into a town a bit ahead, and after a turn the game automatically filled the empty area between the road with my ownership, since the enemy had no supply point nor units in it. Since you are on an island, the game recognizes it as your territory since you got the supply point and the enemy has no units in it.

Yeah could be. I knew that about capturing empty territory by encircling it with your units, but this was really new to me, so I wanted to share. Maybe I just don't remember it from the tutorials

I don't recall it in the tutorials but it makes sense as a game mechanic. Unless there are enemy units of flags then once an area is enclosed by you and or the edge of the world it becomes yours.

It help identify sneak pesky enemy units trying to hide away too :)

Yeah it's good, but for some reason it doesn't work on my new Guadalcanal map. Maybe the island is too big or sth. No idea. It does work on all the other islands, and New Georgia is almost just as big..

no mines, no other entity whatsoever.
The territory belonged to an Australia AI player, without any units.

Well thanks anyway
