Such a tight game, nip and tuck the whole way. When it got to 57-53, I could have had two units broken and lost, but I managed to break one of my opponents and just sneaked in over the line.

Division A

Stones1985 (Christian Nubian) beat Morat (Visigoth with Byzantine Allies) by a score of 56 to 19.

The Nubian infantry left and centre showed some commendable falling back skills and resilience when charged by warbands and cavalry while their more numerous right wings was able to rout the Visigoth left and then turn the flank of their centre troops.

Division B aka Division 2

Chris Townsend's English 1155 defeated EdmondDantes' Seljuq Turkish (West) 45 to 9.

The English lined up with three infantry forces ready to occupy three low hills in between the two armies, backed by a small reserve of knights (with their usual support of mounted crossbow and sergeants). The Turks went all in on cavalry, with the infantry limited to archers and skirmishers. Generally the English infantry were able to push forward, disrupting the missile fire, and allowing the knights to choose their spots for counter attacks. Perhaps the story of one knight netting three Turkish routs is sufficient to finish this report.

Div B

GDod Parthian defeats frederic02 Roman 199-106 + Greek (Western) 280-49 allies 63/41

This was the best game of the season for the Parthians with a close match that saw the lead change hands until the very last round.
I think the Parthians with their superiority in cavalry were marginally better at getting their units back into the fray quickly.
Despite taking severe casualties from a protracted fire-fight, the Romans saw off most of the Parthian light infantry before many succumbed to cavalry attack. Heavier infantry were locked in combat most of the time with the Romans coming off marginally better.
However, the Parthians hung on until the Gauls and Dacians with Parthian cavalry pursing broken Romans finally jumped over the magic number.
An awesome game, and a great opponent who fought intelligently.

alexhstandish (Axumite and Beja) finished battlle with Hari72 (German and Magyar) 68 to 61 on turn 24.

As the score shows, a titanic clash: the Axumites rejected the first battle field as too flat with little terrain......and for their troubles then got a deserted plain with no terrain at all !

The camels and bow killed lancers, who killed them back. The impact foot and spear killed each other in quantity, save the dismounted lancers who proved indomitable.

A very good game, thank you Hari.

A pretty much draw of a game close the whole way through, but One of the Sea Peoples broke in the end giving me the win by holding the field of battle. Great Game!

Aetius (Byzantines) defeats GDod (Indo-Greeks) 53-25


In a confined battlefield, the Indo-Greeks seemed they might have had the upper hand, but the Byzantines managed to get between/hold off the elephants and their cavalry, and hit the archers in the back, sealing the win, although they fought hard till the end. GG!
