I've been following this game trying to decide on a purchase. One of my biggest things is game support. Has there been any posts from the developers here since the game release?
Thanks.

Re: Support.
They don't post here but on the Steam forums and in the two discords. There is already a patch in beta that addresses some things and they put out a roadmap for the next few months.stormbringer3 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 3:52 pm I've been following this game trying to decide on a purchase. I find that actually detracting. I was going to buy the game, but knowing I need to go to another site, to have support, really feels bad.

I'm one of those who don't do STEAM so I'll pass on this game. It does surprise me that the developers don't post here. I think that is a disservice to Slitherine.

I don't know what the arrangement is between Slitherine and Muha with this game but usually the publisher, Slitherine in this case, runs point. They aren't really doing much, especially here on their own site. There's no talk about the beta patch here, they still haven't put up the road map up on ANY of their social media even though the devs did on theirs.
I know we are a bunch of old people who use forums here but discord is where it's at. It doesn't surprise me that this antiquated media (forum) isn't getting much attention. Even the reddit page is more active than this forum. The Slitherine discord is by far the most active place for players, modders and devs.
What support would you even need? Unless there's a technical issue ideally you'll never need support. The steam forums for this game are not too bad, especially compared to other games. Slitherine seems to be putting most their effort there as they mentioned the beta patch there (only available on Steam BTW).ernieschwitz wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:03 am I find that actually detracting. I agree to that. Im not a dc user, so i have to post on the steam forums to get infos from dev team. thats sad.ernieschwitz wrote: ↑Thu Jan 12, 2023 11:03 am I find that actually detracting. I was going to buy the game, but knowing I need to go to another site, to have support, really feels bad.
but 1 exception:

Re: Support.
Anyone not buying this game, especially if you loved the original, is doing themselves a huge disservice. As someone else pointed out, what support would you need? Personally, I am enjoying this game immensely and have played nothing else since it released.
Not sure why anyone would not "do Steam", but again they are doing themselves a disservice. Steam and GOG are great things, and make moving into a new computer or reimaging the old one MUCH easier to get back where you need to be.

I agree with Bee1976 and Predator42.
I bought this game the second it was green lit from Steam and I'm coming up on 200 hours.
The new Beta patch is very encouraging, the developers are listening.
So lack of support at least for now is a non-issue.
