The Germans and Swiss occupied the high ground with a river in front of them. Had they held their superb defensive position this would have been a low scoring draw. But my opponent sportingly made a battle of it and crossed the river, where his Swiss Keils were surrounded and defeated.

The Milanese knights had to completely redeploy but in 23 turns executed a perfect double envelopment of Bohemian war carts leaving them in the middle of the field while the rest of their army fell to the heavy horse.

Division A

markleslie Danish 1200-1319 AD with Baltic Tribes 1050-1283 AD allies defeats Captainwaltersavage Castillian/Leonese 1200 - 1319 AD with Granadine allies 65-44.

The aftermath from the Danish perspective, the ragged state of the troops gives an indication on what turned into a fairly attritional slog til the final straw decided it.

I decided to go heavier on Knights this time with the Balts (MVP's) again well represented with mounted and foot. A large number of Light foot commandos, minimal spear and a couple of crossbows since I feel the lack when I don't take them. From memory the Spanish went heavy on Knights and bowmen, they also chose some lesser mounted, spearmen and skirmishers both foot and mounted.

The battle was pretty straight forward despite the hypnotic distraction of the Close Encounters of the Third Kind mash potato mountains demanding to be moulded.
Up onto the hill in the centre, some action on both flanks as the Spanish sought to envelop and a long slog fest until Danish Knights and Baltic Nobles returning from pursuit crashed into the rear of the enemy upsetting the long attritional balance in the centre with a resulting cascade of cohesion tests and routs.

A refreshing straight up no nonsense fraca, you have my thanks Sir and salute!
