Hi my name is Jacket and im an avid WW2 fanatic and strategy game fanatic.
Frankly I find it very disingenuous for Slitherine to advertise their newest DLC: Ardennes (one i have very high excitement for because it's my favorite period of WW2 besides all out armored battles between the Americans and Germans) advertising it is fine, it's the method in which you're advertising it on the Steam page that grinds my gears. You're hyping up the DLC eventhough it doesn't need hyped by saying 'coming soon' which is disingenous to the customers because anybody who is smart knows 'coming soon' isn't actually 'coming soon' its going to be later and without a release date on the DLC we could be waiting for quite a while on this DLC to come out. I think it's nothing but a cash grab tactic and you should be ashamed of yourselves for not being completely transparent with your customers by telling them a release date or at least a release window. Let me know in the comments if you think im being harsh or if you agree with me that ya don't like the way it's being advertised.
Thats my opinion, Happy Holidays to everybody.

opinions are just that,
everyone has them,
and like leaves on a tree they blow in every direction.
Merry Christmas and Welcome to the forum.

all games and tbh all DLC's are done this way here, not saying it's right or wrong, that's for the owners / admins to decide, and i'm just happy to do the alpha's and beta's and then play them when released and do some odd work around the forums from time to time

ok, not the friendliest reply or the worst I've ever had when trying to reply to someone else's question, so here's a copy of the forum rules you agreed to when signing up, which you may or may not have read.
https://www.slitherine.com/terms-of-use
if you continue to break them, your post or replies or account maybe removed, my post was a friendly reply, yours's wasn't, consider this friendly advice, if you don't like others replies, don't ask questions in a open forum, if your opinion is the only one which you deem to be correct all of the time, then not sure you will like anyone answer or reply here, so happy new year and hope someone else give you a better or more correct answer to your question / topic that you like.
if you feel my reply needs reporting to staff, please pick one from the list for it to receive moderation from a staff member

I am not sure that the Kyiv-based development studio can work in the best conditions given the news.midnightmarauder8989 wrote: ↑Thu Dec 26, 2024 5:16 am Thats my opinion, Happy Holidays to everybody.

Indeed many of the whiners seem oblivious to the risks of not just working in a warzone, but what must be a difficult process determining how to best defend Ukraine's democracy. That Starni is able to do anything at all is a minor miracle IMO...

Working in the video game industry when energy infrastructures, especially electrical ones, are targets is not an easy thing I suppose.
