FOGR Oxford Sunday Events Round 5
Round 5 is on December 8.
We have our first two entries - Paul Mace and me! Putting my cards on the table I plan to use Later Swedes. Paul may or may not want to reveal his but it is good, as I am list checker, that you all know what I shall use.
The event is 25mm war of the Grand Alliance using 600 point armies on a 6x4 table. Should be good and am hoping for a big turnout.
Do let me know that you are in as soon as you can and then army lists by Nov 24 please.

Just a thought on this, should we allow Savoy armies too - why not if anyone fancies one. Any views?

Tom, IMO Savoyard should certainly be allowed. As the FoGR list commentary says, despite the crushing defeat by the French at Marsaglia Savoy remained in the WotLoA. A colourful army with Germans, Spanish & Swiss.tjelsworth wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:01 pm Just a thought on this, should we allow Savoy armies too - why not if anyone fancies one. Any views?

I asked Michał Paradowski, the expert author of the Helion books, about the Poles. He has confirmed that the
Commonwealth was not involved in this war. They were focusing on war against Ottomans between 1683 and 1699.

Dear all, may I have lists ASAP please so that I can do the draw. It may be possible to pit one alliance against the other in the first round, currently the list I have are two each side.

Apologies all and especially Keith who I left of the list! That makes us an odd number - so one more please.

Re: FOGR Oxford Sunday Events Round 5
Dear all,
Andy has joined so now we are 10.
The opening draw is as follows. I have pitted the two sides of the war against each other but other than that the draw was random.
Jerry - Bavaria Vs Paul – Scots Jacobite
Tom – Savoy Ray - French
Keith – Swede Andy – Irish Jacobite
Dene - Bavaria Bruce – French
Chris - Swede Paddy - French
Best of luck all.
I shall try also to do the Victor Ludorum on the day but the challenge will be for anyone to get ahead of Bob who cannot be with us this time.

All,
I have seen your army lists so here is mine. Nothing to worry about, just Savoyard.

I like the 600 points at 6 x 4, thought it worked well
