This thread will be for reporting the WTC24 Round 4 match results

Results of all games in all Round 4 matches should be posted in this thread.

All the games that are to be played are listed in the tables below and in the challenge thread, there are seven match-ups each of four individual games, one game in each period. This is a total of 28 games but only one game per player.

The winner should post, or in the event of a draw, the player with the lowest % damage received. If both players received same damage either player can post.

Please post using the Round 1 Match-up number 1 to 7, from the tables below, the period number and each of the players final % loss (highest damage then lowest damage) as shown in the top left of the match (game) screen on the final turn.

In a very close battle Rockmanbob123 Italians (Ghib) defeated the Captainwaltersavage Portuguese. Ignoring the Commander the the Portuguese knights decided to chase routing troops and allowed the Italians to flank the infantry

Match 5 Period 1

Stones1985 (Assyrian) Charming Champians beat ulysisgrunt (Hittite) Third Army by a score of 44 to 18.

A good game. The Hittites came equipped with an unorthodox army of no less than 23 chariots. The massed Assyrian infantry got off to a good start with shooting. I was a bit fortunate and disrupted a few of the chariots and fragmented another. So I went in to the melees with an advantage. Although my left flank collapsed the centre and right were able to dispose of several chariots to secure the win.

Marinid berber could have played the defense in a constructed deployment zone , but they decided to fight in the middle of the map with courage and fair play , unfortunatly murabit berber were more lucky with dice and two generals , the c and c himself were heroic .

On a map dominated by mountains, my Knights had some good early dice and routed some enemy infantry, followed up by the Almughavers taking advantage of disrupted units. This gave us a lead which we kept till the end.

Morat (Charming Champians) beat SgtOgre (Third Army): 66-54

Third Army Parthians got off to a fast start and threatened to overwhelm the Cathaginians in the early exchanges. Mixture of Carthaginian mediums, horse, an elephant and a heroic defence by the CinC turned the tide.

Thanks to SgtOgre for the match - keenly contested throughout.
