Kroche (Dunlending) 18% loss

anderarcos11 (Angmar) 49% loss

A fairly even match where Angmar advanced on their right into Dunlending line which had flank protection from wooded areas. The Dunlending left held up the Angmar advance in the melees between impact troops and held together when outnumbered and outfavoured. This allowed the Dunlending centre right,helped by cavalry, to break the deadlock and rout the Angmar Orc and Hillmen warriors. GG

Kroche (Angmar) defeats anderarcos11 (Dunlending) 57-9

Early part of the battle was mostly just with light troops and Angmar came out of that with a points advantage. Dunlending main force kept a defensive line, protected by woods both flanks. Angmar advanced cautiously as needed to be careful of Dunlending troops in the woods. Angmar had far the better of the die rolls in the melees - Angmar troops that were disrupted and fragmented managed to hold together until victory whereas the Dunlendings did not and their routing caused other units to disrupt in an chain reaction causing the heavy defeat. GG

Lennard (Orcs of the Misty Mountains) defeats AKvGoeben (Dunlendings): 45 - 5

The inital skirmisher clash favoured no side but allowed the Orcs to retain a favourable position along some low hills. While the Dunlendings advance was mostly stopped alongside those slopes, Wargs on the right and Orcs on the left could overpower the regular Dunlendings warbands and with the help a few good general deaths the Dunlendings were ultimately defeated. The higher quantity of quality infantry in the form of Orc champions and Trolls really carried the Orcs in this fight.

rohan charges went well , the match up is unfair and when the gods of dice are in the favor of the best army ; it is hard for the other player , thanks for the game

AKvGoeben (Orcs of the Misty Mountains) defeats Lennard (Dunlendings) 43-14.

A general melee engagement in which both sides seemed relatively evenly matched dissolved very quickly when two Dunlending generals fell on the same end turn, along with a previously auto-dropped Troll returning to steady.
This precipitated a general collapse in the Dunlending left flank which several wargs nearby were able to exploit and attack into the enemy rear. On the opposite flank, victorious Dunlending warriors pursued some routing orcs too far and opened up a gap for more wargs to charge through and set up flank attacks.

Quite possibly some of the worst luck I've ever witnessed but I'll take the W with some relief given what Lennard did to me in the mirror

Very messy battle that's difficult to describe but the sturdy Arnorian infantry and high quality cavalry certainly played their part.

edb1815 (Angmar) defeats AKvGoeben (High Elves) 67-39.

A tough match up for the outnumbered Elves. They charged forward and with initial success and then the numbers of Orcs and Hillmen began to tell. First with a flank charge assisted by the Nazgul and then in the end ganging up on the Elven archers.

Well played. The other match is ongoing but a series of rallies by the Orcs and the numbers are beginning to tell.

AKvGoeben (Angmar) defeats edb1815 (High Elves) 66-52.

Elves staved off the frontal assault but the big contingent of orcs and trolls arriving from the right flank and a lucky warg sneaking through on the left proved too much for their greatly outnumbered force.

The Witch King wishes it be known that he is greatly impressed with the courage and elan of the ordinary orcish troops "It brings a tear to my eye...or would if I had eyes..."

edb1815 (Rohan) defeats random27 (Mordor) 66-41.

Well played. My opponent used his archers to great effect, shielding them from charges and putting casualties on the cavalry. After the initial charges were mostly repulsed the Riders of Rohan regrouped and managed to rout the Orcish foes.

Lennard (Mordor) defeats edb1815 (Easterlings) 41 - 15

The battle started with a skirmish. Here the Easterlings largely dominated their Orcish counterparts, although some units were caught by infantry and a charging Nazgul. After this the Mordorite right flank - stacked with Trolls, Uruk Guards, said Nazgul and some reserve Orcs - made contact with their Easterlings opposition. On the left the Mordor army hang back with Uruks in the front and Orcs in the rear to avoid a flanking manoeuvre by the Easterling cavalry (the right was protected from flanking by a large body of water). Once more and more units were engaged the battle soon turned to favour the Mordorites as the Easterling infantry units proved unable to withstand their foes across the line. Even the regular Orcs made good contacts vs. the much more expansive warbands and so the battle was a victory for Mordor.

Lennard (Umbar) defeats random27 (Orcs of the Misty Mountains) 67 - 33

This one is a bit hard to describe, as far as I remember there wasn't much of a skirmish at first. The Umbar right flank took position in a agricultural area. It included Hardrim and Umbar Archers as well as some Haradrim Foot units. With the help of the obstacles these unit managed to hold against the Orc assault at first, but soon they suffered more and more casulties.
While this happend the Umbarite left flank had pushed aggressively against their opposition. It consisted of all the Umbar Marines, a Mumakil and skirmishers. The Orcish right flank, holding back a bit and defending patches of rough ground, could not resist their vicious attack for long and was ultimately defeated.
The Umbar cavalry, multiple Haradrim Horse and some Umbar Lancers, was intially positioned on the far left, where they clashed with the Orcish Wargs. Although they themselves managed to mostly evade unscathed, some Wargs found their way into the flank of the Marines, but thanks to focused skirmish fire and good luck nothing too bad happend.
The center was a standoff at first, with the Umbarite left pushing beyond it and the Oricsh left doing the same on its side, not too much happenend. Eventually though some Umbar Lancers and Heavy Infantry units managed to break through parts of the Oricish line, flanking the Orcish attack on the agricultural area and thus securing victory for Umbar.

As a little annecdote it should also be mentioned that this battle saw a Mumakil unit (with general) defeating a unit of Orcs in rough ground...a feat that I certainly had not expected!
