Purchase Gustav Rail
So I had a very small Units.csv mod-- IIRC just took the "no purchase" trait from the Gustav so I could play around with it in the AO Campaigns. Worked fine and I had fun with it and still have some saved games it shows up in, etc. After a recent update the Units file was overwritten etc. The new & validated Units file (Steam) doesn't show a "no purchase" trait-- but it doesn't show up in the purchase list either. Did the devs change some fundamental characteristic where it just doesn't show up? Anyone have any insight? The Units entry is still there...
Re: Purchase Gustav Rail
Did you also make your changes in the equipment file? This is changed during updates and overwrites the unit.csv.

Re: Purchase Gustav Rail
I did not. Usually for such tiny mods I just modify the unit.csv and save a copy, but after an update (I hadn't played in several months) I saw the unit.csv had a new date so I opened it to re-mod it and saw the Gustav didn't have the "no purchase tag anymore. Nor for the Karl Gerat.
"Huh", I sez. Yet it doesn't show up in the purchase screen of a new 43 campaign. Just wondering if there was some other mechanism keeping it from showing up?? Because just removing "no purchase" USED to work fine...

Re: Purchase Gustav Rail
Maybe a better question is "how do I make it available for purchase"? Perhaps I did something "else" I forgot about?
Re: Purchase Gustav Rail
Developers use equipment.pzeqp file you find this file PanzerCorps2 -> Content -> Editor -> Data
Edit equipment file:
Add .csv to file name -> equipment.pzeqp.csv -> open this file with excel -> use Separator Options: Tab -> edit your unit and save the file -> close excel and remove .csv from equipment.pzeqp file
Now open Editor an reload and export the new equp. file (Unit Tools) -> unit.csv will be overwrite or open the game and start a new scenario -> the unit should now be available again

Re: Purchase Gustav Rail
Thanks for the info. I did that back when I made extensive changes. But nowadays when I just make a couple of tweaks I find It's just easier to to use Units.csv.sstejona wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2024 4:43 pm Developers use equipment.pzeqp file you find this file PanzerCorps2 -> Content -> Editor -> Data
