Before I buy this game...

I'm playing the Demo and I like the game. A lot like Spartan except (obviously) this is only about battles. Anyway, some questions before I buy:
1) Is the game like the Demo in that you can only follow a predetermined set of battles?
2) During battle, is there a way to give orders to specific groups? If there is, I missed it. I find it very aggravating to have a unit beat their opposite number, than just stand around doing nothing while a nearby unit is getting pounded.

1) Yes

2) Oh heck yeah! Just click on the unit, either on the battlefield or on the row of figures below it, then r-click where you want them to go, or move the cursor over the enemy unit you want them to attack, wait for the sword cursor, and then r-click to order them to attack.

This is the chief advantage (besides graphics) of LA over Startan/GoT; you can actually order your troops around during the battle.

When you have the full game, you'll also find you can give waypoints to your units before the game begins...
