Hello, I managed to beat the main campaign on Normal difficulty yesterday. A few more observations from playing:

- Custodes infantry in general seem to be held back mainly by their lack of numbers. Because there are so few of them compared to Astartes, once their morale goes down from fighting a bit they get overwhelmed by Ork units quite easily and simply can't survive. Even a unit of much cheaper Veteran Ogryns can hold their own against Orks much better than any of the Custodes infantry that I fielded. I'm unsure if just making their maximum strength higher would help, or if they could instead use other changes to their stats instead to make them feel like the most elite troops in service to the Emperor.

- On a very positive note, the Mechanicus units are fun to use. The melee mechanical infantry are quite fun to use as they perform well against Orks, and the larger Titans pretty much can't be harmed by most Ork units.

- Salamander Intercessors are a bit too useful for their price compared to every other infantry available in Act 3. They have both the Commander and Support abilities, and unless you leave them out in the open unsupported they can quite easily defeat infantry, vehicles, and even light armor without any difficulty while replenishing each others' morale if you have two of them placed next to each other.

I also tried a bit of the Ork Hunters DLC campaign. The first few missions are tough but beatable, but the mission where you are tasked with assaulting the traitors is outright impossible. The enemy outnumbers you so much and has enough support available that there's absolutely no way to advance. The enemy has a Macharius on their first defensive line that none of the Leman Russ variants available to you at that point can realistically do anything about, and their lines are full of high-strength Penal Legions with supporting Ogryns and Ratling Snipers who can all annihilate your Ork Hunters infantry without any problems.

Wha? OH, lmao that stuff some people are complaining about because GW overwrote some older lore. I don't get what the big deal is over that tbh. GW changes their lore all the time. We used to have literal space dwarfs and they got entirely removed, then reintroduced like 30 years later as a completely different group. People went crazy during the pandemic I guess.

As for that tutorial mission, how did you beat it? I've tried a bunch of different strategies and I keep getting bogged down trying to get past the two Laser Destroyers that the other guy has in the north. If you go around the west end entirely the Macharius won't get involved, but the rest of the units he has are just barely strong enough to stop me from getting through most of the time. I've gotten to within about one turn of achieving the objectives before running out of time usually.

The first Destroyer that meets in front of the bridge is already damaged, it is easy to destroy it with Anti-tank unit, Sentiel, Bombards and Leman Russ tank. The second Destroyer, also damaged, is on the bridge, and I am putting a Lehmann Russ tank with 3 Bombards and an Anti-tank unit against it. Leman Russ is moving to the bridge at range 3, the Destroyer does not attack my Lemann Russ since it is out of sight, only defends itself:

Thus, the Destroyer is destroyed :D , then I send the Leman Russ to break into the Basilisk's blind zone, no one attacks my tank because there are not enough heavy weapons:

Next, the Basilisk is destroyed, while the units that walk across the bridge are out of sight and cannot be attacked by the basilisk:

After destroying Basilisk and Light turret, I accumulate infantry so that in 2 moves I capture 5 hexes, so the enemy will not have time to counterattack:

Another mission has been added. The balance has been slightly changed to adapt mod to original company. There are more than 1к different units, so it's not easy to achieve balance.

hey man, I've been scouring this whole thread and amidst all the dead links, I am unable to figure out if I am installing this properly. It said to download the community patch, then the merge mod and finally version whatever of this mod. I keep getting unautharized whatever error, same as the last guy. Would you be so kind as to upload a one stop download or provide links for the stuff I need to install by order of installation? I would appreciate it so much my dude! thx in advance :)

As far as I remember, everything is already included in the original mod and it should work.Please note that my mod is heavily distorted compared to the vanilla version or original Mega Merge version. Thus, there are three Armageddon-based games that you can play for fun, but they use the same resources, so installing the mod in the vanilla version will no longer play.

Here is a list of things I tried (all these things I did from root of C:/*insert warhammer 40k title* ex C:/warhammer 40k armageddon mega mod

1) downloaded the original mod from your link, unpacked it and started it in root
2) downloaded community patch and overwrote it with the original mod
3) copied the main game files to this new folder and used original mod to overwrite

everytime I get an error that says "Fatal error: unhandled exception"

if i just use the community patch from root of C in its own folder, it works fine.

Step by step what I did

1)deleted warhammer 40k armageddon form steam
2) installed it and played it (it did crash when I tried to play a scenario, giving me unhandled exception fatal error)
3) copied the folder on C drive folder
4)downloaded community patch you linked and copied it to the new folder in C drive folder
5) started no problem
6) downloaded mega merge and copied it
7) attempted to start game and got the same msg I always get ------> https://imgur.com/a/4Td6Z5o

i even tried coping the stuff on the actual game folder in the steam folder.

I can play the community patch with no issues only IF I do the following

1) download community patch from here https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=79525
2) make a folder in C drive and copy the stuff there
3) download the additional 8th edition rules https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 35&t=83390
4) copy stuff over
5) download fix (missing textures) https://www.slitherine.com/forum/viewto ... 42#p969342
6) copy stuff over
7) apply 4gb patch

and have no problems whatsoever. For whatever reason, the moment I try using mega merge I get the unhandled exception error.

Ок. This is enough, the main thing is that ArmageddonGame .exe from community works, it has key mechanics. Therefore, delete ArmageddonGame.exe from the Mega Merge Mod archive . You do not need to reinstall everything, just replace the working one ArmageddonGame.exe from the community. Other texture problems, like errors with .png files, are easily solved.
I will clean the archive leaving only what changes, after that it should work without problems

you are awesome! it works without any issues! Played first mission of imperial campaign and it went without a hitch. Thanks again for your help. You're the best <3

PS I see some duplicate units on the purchase menu and others lack a better description. For example the leman russ punisher tanks. One is called LR punisher (5 units) and at the bottom there is a Leman Russ Punisher (3 units). Is this problem only on my end? I am currently going in to fix it with an editor but wanted to see if its only on my side.

In a highly distorted mod, there may be critical errors of 1-2 pcs in each scenario, these errors are random and do not repeat. Just download the save.

Changes have been made to the original campaign, the victory conditions in Mission No. 12 have been changed, and now it can be played. Balance has been changed.

Good day to all! Just attained Armageddon taking advantage of recent sale. Firstly, my outmost thanks to all long time members of this group for producing such vast breath of additional factions and selections for such! Second - how is it that I can select sides Scenarios here? Because when as per normal I click, for example, on Chaos side for the Chaos Scenario - Vraks Assault - I cannot for life of me actually select it.

On none of the new faction scenarios can I select the second Side. Did I do anything wrong whilst installing the Mod?

I installed Armageddon - then created a new folder for the community patch - then on top of the community patch applied the mega mods' files.

- Addendum -> Would it not be possible to upload a combined (all steps done) mod folder? Or should I skip the trouble and apply the mega mod over the main install and be done with things with no comm patch? I add the addendum only because of the seeming complexity of the install process and the above mentioned results thus far, but I am new to the ropes so I presume it is my own ignorance making life difficult, since the only experience I have with this UI is PZ Korps, and not that much of it.

Installing the mod replaces the original game balance, skins of the units and original company can be changed. Mega Merge Mod and its modifications work on the Warhammer Armageddon game with the community patch installed. This patch contains a file "ArmageddonGame.exe" it changes the game mechanics, for example, it gives a slot of 4 weapons, some perks.

The Heavily Distorted Mega Merge Mod V11a is much larger than any mod for Warhammer Armageddon, so it is undesirable to put other mods on top of it. I did not make the Heavily Distorted Mega Merge Mod V11a stand alone it is placed on top of the Mega Merge. If you install Heavily Distorted Mega Merge Mod V11a without Mega Merge Mod, some images and sounds may be lost, but the game should work.
