Div A
tyronec (Roman) defeats carpenkm (Bosphoran) 58-27.
That's my last game in the TDC 6, thanks to all of the organisers and my opponents for another enjoyable season (apart from picking this wretched army which I have come to thoroughly dislike).

Division 1
Kroche Khorasanian 821-1003AD w Dailami 51% loss
drew vs
frederic02 Anglo saxons 950-1016AD with viking 58% loss
A close fought match that went the full distance. A hilly map on both sides, Anglo-Saxons moved strong force along the hill on their right while setting to defend their centre hill. Khorasanian's did the opposite by moving in strength on their right and trying to defend the centre/left. Khorasanian had success on taking the centre hill, but took a long time in seeing off the Anglo-Saxons there. Again the opposite happened as Anglo-Saxons advanced through the Khorasanian left screen and had most of their huscarls in that force that decimated the Khorasanian defence there. In the remaining turns the surviving forces met again; as most huscarls were still on the field the Anglo-Saxons were the stronger force and nightfall helped keep the match a draw. GG.

Division 1
Kroche Italian (Ghibelline) 1200-1319 w German (Imperial) 51% loss
defeated
random27 indian (rajput) 1050-1339 63% loss
Match could have gone either way. Patch of rough in the centre was contested and Indians made fairly short work of the Italian skirmishers and medium troops. Italian heavy infantry defended their right with flank protected by woodland. Indian lancers and missile fire could not break through this line and were eventually pushed back. Lots of light cavalry charges into the Italian rear in the latter half of the battle could not get the Indians enough breaks to disrupt the momentum of the Italian right. GG

I think my points are wrong I have 489..carpenkm wrote: ↑Mon Sep 23, 2024 8:57 pm Here are the tables with one week to go.
Tyronec comfortably takes Div A with an outstanding 95 pt average. 2nd to 6th place is very close and at the moment with the only remaining match (Kroche vs frederic02) may be the decider for the final places (please let me know if i have missed it). NB all games vs Trodor have been voided.
Div B looks to have been much closer at the top with Rexhurley in pole position. Keksoid has apologised for his delays and I understand is trying to complete as many of his matches as we can. We will decide how to treat his matches depending on the progress you can all make in the final week. There is one non-Keksoid match to complete which is Indibil vs Ulysisgrunt.

Div A
klayeckles (pyrrhic+sam) defeats carpenkm (seleucid) 48 to 23
a fun match up. the seleucids held the high ground, and started out with a blistering missile attack that forced the pyrrhic army to fall back into a shell...miraculusly only a few troops fell to the missile barrage. The seliucids decided to go for the win and pressed forward, comining down from the hills.
unfortunately their troops arrived somewhat piecemeal, and the pyrrhic troops got a bit of an early advantage in the melee. but the sun was getting low and it appeared that no clear winner would result. Then the seleu elephants broke in the face of a hoplite flanking move...this caused other troops to waiver.
In an attempt to save things the seleucid troops hammered into the pyrrhic phalynx line with pike, asperages and cataphracts...but the pyrrhic troops managed to hold on, and as the sun set the samnite allies hiding in the woods emerged to fall upon the massed archers and undermanned theuros. just as the last light of day dissappeared, the seleucids broke, running for the hills.

Capenkm beat Karvon 67-43
The Seleucid Infantry beat the Carthaginian opponents in the centre, but flanking cavalry and skirmishers nearly did enough damage to swing the battle the other way. The Seleucids only barely managed to do enough damage before night fall. Well played and good game.

rockmanbob123 Italians (Ghib) Defeated wzfns English w Welsh
60-49
The Italian infantry took up a position on a hill with missiles on their flanks and their heavy cavalry in reserve to the rear.
The English knights attempted to engage the missile troops on the flanks of the Italian infantry. However, the Italian heavy cavalry engaged them first. The heavier and more numerous Italian cavalry won the day after a spirited fight.

Re: TDC VI Dark Ages - Results
So here is the provisional final Div A table. I would definitely ask all to check your scores!
It looks to have been a really close division (with one exception!!!). 7 points between 2nd and 4th and less than 50 between 2nd and 6th. Just goes to show every rally and random break counts! Well played all.
Still waiting for final result sin Div B before the order can be confirmed.

Nijis seems to have not yet posted his Merotic's win against my Spartan and Roman ally. I'm not sure of the final score.
