I would love to see a Soviet AO-style campaign starting in Spain and continuing through the end of the war.

There could be a DLC from the perspective of the Germans. In this DLC, you can replay the last two operations of the Germans: Ardennes offensive and Operation Spring Awakening. What would have happened if the Germans had succeeded in these two operations? This would be processed by these two DLCs

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
First of all I just want to say I simply love the game
I've grinded through all the campaigns on Generallismo in Ironman mode, execpt invading the US (goddamn nukes
)
I'd love to do more playthroughs, but I just think it gets a little boring after a while.
If only the cutscenes/mission briefings were voiced over in all the DLCs like in the original game.
And maybe a bit more storymode / historie, with voice actors.
I would definitly pay good money, for a DLC / patch that did just that and sink another 700+ hours into this fantastic game
Kind Regards
Dennis

Please add a free Undo for the game ending:
Often in the engame, I take an objective and forgot that was meaning the immediate kill of the scenario.
So I pass the debriefing, the briefing of the next scenario, to reload the last save of past scenario. And even I may repeat the misclick and have to reload again!
So, please ask us wether we actually want to end the game or propose a free undo so we may continue PLAYING until we do decide to end succesfully our mission.

Hi Slitherine,
I'm quite shy guy and not often making posts on forums, but this time I must react. Panzer Corps 2 is stunning game and I love it. Recently I just convince my friend to play with me as coop random and historical scenarios. The coop experience is just awesome we are enjoing every moment. We are boomers from 90s and both of us grow on PANZER GENERAL games. After a few sessions we just drastically missed one key function which I think will be simple to implement.
SUGGESTION 1:
There is missing HEX HIGHLIGHT function in coop mode, simple sad I like to point on some hex to show my teammate attention here, with sound effect will be better of course. Many times I must explain him what kind of map point I'm talking about. If I can show him directly (for example by MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON), that will be damn good easy!
SUGGESTION 2:
Of course as many people mentioned in here the coop Campaing will be truly AWESOME!
Thank you for creation of such heart warming game

In Audio options, please add a Mute button for the music.
I do like the music of the game, but often I listen otherwise,
and it would be far easier to click on a button
than rembering and setting back exactly the past music level I had find to be the best.

Hi Slitherine. I think so two more scenarios would be nice to add to the Grand campaign. One could be British India(Alternative scenario) the other could be Seelow Heights(Historical scenario) I miss these two scenarios from the Grand Campaign. After the Caucasus campaign, British India can come. Seelow Heights could come after the Balaton campaign. The great campaign would be complete with these two scenarios.

Not the answer you want but are you aware every hex has a coordinate? It might help. P

There's a lot of scope with USSR tbh.QSertorius wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 11:17 pmI would love to see a Soviet AO-style campaign starting in Spain and continuing through the end of the war.
The volunteers to Spain - though it's a losing proposition.
The conflict with Japan (Khalkin Gol etc), though that's pushing it very fine to get over to the invasion of Poland.
The Winter War with Finland
I'd like some inspiration from OOB, which tried to encourage the formation of tank doctrines through optional objectives. I think that could be a neat addition to the mission objectives.
One day I guess, we've been waiting a good while for Allied and Soviet campaigns to come along, enough so I replay it quite frequently on PzC1 anyway. (The only issue with PzC1 is the atrocious briefings in Soviet corps!)

A couple of new alternative Axis scenario maps. It always comes in handy.

I occasionally, sometimes more than occasionally, hear players bashing your supply system. My suggestion is leave it as it is and keep it for PC3.
I rather like playing overrun ping-pong as opposed to the encirclement grinder. Makes for a better game! It's immersive as well, allowing operations similar to what happened with the early advent of the blitzkrieg.

Re: Ideas for Panzer Corps 2
I like alternate history. That's why I have two ideas.
An alternative standalone scenario from a German perspective: Operation Market Garden. In this scenario, the Germans would successfully repulse the Allies and recapture the bridges.
An alternative battle front DLC from a German perspective: Operation Spring Awakening. In this DLC, the Germans would successfully complete the operation. I'm Hungarian, so I would love this DLC

Attacker and Defender Initiative Responses!:
Defender's Response!:
'Right or Wrong'... i am quite sure that in all... or nearly all cases... that the "Attacker" has and uses the option to initiate combat "First!" in these Campaigns... and does seem to do just exactly that!.
Instead!... I propose that the "Player" is now given the "Option" for each segment of the Campaign to decide on... as to whether the "Attacker" will fire or initiate combat first, or whether the "Defender" will have the "Option" to fire first on the "Opposing-Attacker" FIRST at the beginning of each turn-phase.
For "Example!"... after the Campaign in "Crimea"... the fall of "Stalingrad" is about to take place!. In this... your next Battle... the "Romanian's" are nearly 100% useless in trying to slow down, or stop, or repulse the Russian assault. As as result the "Romanians" get very quickly "Over-Run"... with little to no defensive capability results. The Game is set up to determine that the Russians get to fire first on these prepared... "Dug-In-Hardened Defensive Positions".
"To-Help-Fix": Give the "Player" the "Option" to give the "Defender" the first Fire-Response-Action... and if the Russians can survive or sustain that incoming Fire, then they may attempt to respond as they are able to!.

~~~~Captured Equipment!:~~~~
"Rarely If-Ever"... do i make any use of "Captured Equipment!". That being the case!... Why-not give the "Player" the Option or Choice to decide what to do with it... after they pay for it... of course!.
As in the case of the "Romanians" at or on the outskirts of "Stalingrad"... i think that they could make very-good-use of this equipment... as their standard issued equipment... seems to be lacking in combat-effectiveness. Same idea would go for any other "Allies" that the Germans have.
I already was fielding an idea on that thought... that subject matter... but!... unfortunately it became a great point of unrealistic "Paranoid-Concern!!!".
My "Posting" was... "Panzer Corps 2 Pacific DLC" it was Shelved!. It's too bad that "Mental-Midget-Closed-Mindedness" won out!. "How Unfortunate!".
"Identifier" for Unit Groups:
If i want to have... say 3 or 4 separate "Task-Force-Strike-Groups" for different specific missions... it would be helpful to be able to identify each Unit in that Group with say a "Color-Band" somewhere... perhaps on the Unit-Identification-Label... so as to not get them inadvertently mixed up or confused with any other Group.
Also!... as i mentioned previously... sometimes one loses track of where their Unit is because the Mouse Pointer has moved or wandered and is no-longer in its position over the said-Unit. Remedy this by having the ability to click on the Units-Icon at the bottom left-corner of the display-screen to then be able to instantly jump to that Unit's Exact Locationl. This would be a "Great-Help".
I think you just need to do that with camouflage, but in a future game installment it would be indeed nice to have the option to turn on/off what is essentially a pop-up tooltip if you'd hover over a unit and get to choose what sort of info you'd like to be displayed - perhaps even under a single hotkey. Could be color coded as you suggested as well.Retributarr wrote: ↑Sat Jan 18, 2025 3:48 pm "Identifier" for Unit Groups:
"Camouflage... by itself is not adequate enough!"... as it is... "Not-Distinct-Enough!"... i require and prefer "Easy-Distinct-Confirmation Identification"... not a mixed-bag of mixed muddy looking Camouflage Units from both sides... which makes it difficult to tell who-is-who!.Tassadar wrote: ↑Sun Jan 19, 2025 12:01 pmI think you just need to do that with camouflage, but in a future game installment it would be indeed nice to have the option to turn on/off what is essentially a pop-up tooltip if you'd hover over a unit and get to choose what sort of info you'd like to be displayed - perhaps even under a single hotkey.
