Division 2
prcinicpesromanes (Sicilian 1194-1199 AD) defeats Indibil (German (Imperial) 1200-1319 AD with Hungarian allies 43-18
On a battlefield with gentle hills, both armies brought a lot of archers and crossbowmen. The Sicilians ultimately managed to concentrate their fire more effectively and gained an edge the superior German knights couldn’t overcome.
Thanks for the game. This is my last early medieval match so I’d also like to thank Karvon for coordinating.

DIVM vs Keksoid: hat off to Keksoid for surrendering the match since we were not going to be able to finish it before 20th (I'll be off after 20th). Is the result is 40-15 ?
DIVM vs Trogdor666: I would like to claim the game, since Trogdor666 is missing since late August. Last turn was three weeks ago.
Cheers

Noticed that one of my defeats wasn't reported:
Trogdor666 Indo-Greek 175BC-10AD with Kushan 130BC-476AD allies beat alexmike1 Skythian 550-301BC with Greek 460-281BC allies 62-56
My match vs keksoid started early September, but has not really progressed and been their turn since 10/09.

Aetius (Germans) defeats heidipie (Irish) 52-26
There were actually 3 mini-battles over the map, as the terrain was weird and neither army wanted to commit fully to something not very favorable. The Irish put up a good fight, but in the end the Germans help up. GG!

tmac11 Roman defeated gdod spartan 64 -45
As usual between pikes and romans a slog and a bloodbath decided when most of the Spartan mediuns performed badly exposing the pike flanks. A good game on interesting and challenging terrain

rexhurley claims victory (albeit Phyrric) v Keksoid through inaction and a stalled game at keksoid Turn 3.
Turn replied to Keksoid 18:34 10 September, now 2105 NZST 19 September. No response to email sent 24hrs ago therefore given there is just a week to run and no real chance of playing this to conclusion I claim the victory.
CarpenKM please confirm this is accepted or not as I wish to end my season and participation in the Leagues and this is my last match.
Regards Rex

Division 2
principesromanes (Cimmerian 750-600 BC with Mannaean 750-610 BC allies) defeats anderacos11 (Egyptian 945-720 BC) 62-47
Two horse and chariot archer-heavy armies met, facing off across a deep river beside the coast. The Cimmerian general declined to try to outmaneuver the Egyptian army (re-roll the battlefield) despite the Egpytians sitting on a hill on their side of the river because the terrain was equally unfavourable for both armies.
In order to provoke a battle, the Egyptian light chariots charged across the river to rain arrows down on the Cimmerian army. It worked, breaking a number of units. Unfortunately, light chariots don’t like being charged – even by irregular foot – so tried to beat a hasty retreat. In the narrow coastal plane – and with a deep river at their back – many were caught.
Meanwhile, the light units on the Cimmerian right flank – away from the sea – were slowly forcing their way around the end of the Egyptian line, raining missiles as they went.
As the battle developed, there were a lot of unusual melees happening. In one notable instance, a unit of early Cimmerian cavalry charged an Egyptian light chariot in the river, resulting in a slow grind that was never resolved. Many Cimmerian units broke from the Egyptian massed archers sitting on the hill, firing over the river, but ultimately they started to run out of arrows – and targets not in melee – and the Cimmerian irregular foot proved up to the task of coming out ahead in enough melees to carry the day.
Thanks for the very interesting game. Between this and our early medieval game, we’re 2-0 for favouring attacking uphill rather than defending.

Triarii (Hebrew) defeats Aetius39 (Philistine ) 47-22
Initial opportunity to cause a good few missile casualties meant a bit of a biblical slugfest in rough ground and a stream just went the Hebrew way before the Philistines could work their way round the open flank. Good game notable for the survival of all Hebrew Generals .... a welcome first for the Hebrews.

In a semi mirror matchup, Drudgep's Romans of 105-25BC defeated the older 199-106 BC Romans commanded by Grimgrom by the score of 69-47.
Grimgrom brought plenty of medium and light foot vs a very heavy army comp by Drudgep. The key was that Drudgep's flank of Legionnaires were able to hold the ground long enough for the main army to do its work.
Although Grimgrom must be an inspiring commander as back to back turns he had at least 5 rallies... causing problems for the slow heavy army of Drudgep as fragmented units were scatttered around the outskirts of the battlefield no longer routed.
This marks the end of Drudgep's first TDC, I want to thank everyone who organized it. I believe I am missing a reported game. I have a record of 4-6 which I am quite happy with being a brand new player. Thank you to all my opponents.. I really enjoyed this tournament!
Wins: Indibil, Grimgrom, Hscic, and RussellGardner1964
Loses: Rockmanbob, SawyerK, Antivirt, Sunnyboy, and MH5064
