Narrow battlefield. The Ottomans put infantry behind temporary fortifications on top of hills and had a forest and difficult hill also. I defeated their skirmishers early, but went to march almost my whole army around the far left flank rather than attack front on. As I hoped (I expected a draw otherwise) the Ottomans advanced off the hills and we marched back to meet them in a compact and swift battle in the middle which we won.

Captainwaltersavage showing how to finish a set of matches quickly and posting a decent score to underline his return. random27 looking like the man to beat for those who want the title with rexhurley doing a good impression of that same man. Of course a usurper could easily emerge as more results come in.

alexmike1 setting the pace with 4 wins from 5, his only loss so far was by the undefeated principesromanes making it very tight at the top. As with all divisions there are quite a few who could shake up the table as more results get posted.

Very open so far, less so if hscic can continue with his recent posting of results. SawyerK has given himself a foundation with a solid start from his first 4. Everything to play for..

Division A

Kroche (Khorasanian 821-1003AD w Dailami allies) 45% loss
defeats
Bagatrix1805 ( Arab conquest 638-684AD) 60% loss

Map was open on Arab side with 2 enclosures on the Khorasanian side. Khorasanian cavalry had the advantage on the left and moved forward with missile firing light and medium cavalry to overpower the Arab cavalry. As the cavalry battle was being fought on the left the Arab spear advanced towards each area of enclosures where the Khorasanian foot had lined up. Forces held off a bit on the Khorasanian right - Khorasanians threatened with bowmen while Arab superior lancers and some spearmen waited for their moment. Battle developed with the Khorasaian cavalry defeating the Arab horse on the left, but needed to stop pursuing asap as the Veteran Arab spear were getting the better of the Dailami foot. Khorasanian forces on the left started to flank attack the far left Arab spear. On the right wing the Arabs were getting the better of it, opposed by fewer of my troops they were poised to eliminate the Khorasanian right . Luckily Khorasanians routed the remaining spearman on the left to get to 60% before the Arab lancers and veteran spearmen rolled over 2 massed archer units and a raw spear. I don't think the Arabs got any rallies of routed troops the whole game and if they did get one before the end the game could have swung the other way. GG
