It's fixed for 1.03 Beta, coming soon. You know, on Steam.

Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
So it appears our turn repeated again. My turn start was exactly the same as last turn. My turn says 47 in the game, but my email notification says it should be turn 49. Anyone else seeing this?
Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
I have the same problem, just replayed turn 47.

Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
The game started as if it I had saved it to server after replay.
But not entirely, as the world is subtly different.
There is a heat wave in Hajar that wasn't there before.
There is a new usurper at Antioch, Melite.
OMGZ I am going to have to rewrite the history of the world!!!

Now I think about it I did save the game to the server yesterday after seeing the playthrough and took my move in another game before finishing Bells.

Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
Unless you used a tweaked version of Kingdoms or the whole Onedrive issue, that should not have impacted it. Agreed though, it was AFTER the replay, but IIRC that is what happened when this issue occurred before. And yes I feel as if I am being gaslighted with the subtle differences!!
Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
goundhog day: still stuck on Turn 47 for the 3rd time.

Hmm, could some of you start a new test game, play 2-3 turns, then one of you save to server and reload and see if that causes the problem.
Just move an army and press next.

I believe Jim completely disabled MS Drive to ensure there were no cloud operations. It would be interesting to know what was needed. Other players will need to know that until the 1.03 official release is out.

On another issue, yes Court Expenses are becoming a problem again, currently-3500. It was a problem with 1.01, ceased to be an issue with 1.02, but now a problem again. I am having to make some radical money earning/cost cutting decisions, otherwise Byzantium could go bankrupt in 10-15 turns.
Edit - I see the next patch will address this. Good news.

Re: "For Whom the Bell Tolls" PBEM Discussion/Update Thread
That is one of the problems the patch should solve, reducing the court expenditure somewhat.Joch1955 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 5:14 pm On another issue, yes Court Expenses are becoming a problem again, currently-3500.
