HRE Vassal.

When you play one, is there any way to escape being a vassal? The usual diplomacy choice isn't there.

Are you a vassal? Saxony and Bohemia for example are not, you can be a member of the HRE without being a vassal.
If that is not the case it is a good question, haven't tried.
