Two armies on each bank on defensive position, waiting the other to pass the only bridge.Even if the offenders took the bridge, they will be welcomed by volleys of arrows and bolts.
The situation will most likely to be two armies digging in on the river bank to shoot each other.
Any other tactic can be implemented?

Historically the usual tactic would be a flank march, by the attacking side.

However according to the actual scale of their manoveur,it has to breach the maximum size of the map editor.
I'm thingking about Battle of Cravant,it’ll inevitably be drowsy if not built on hypothesis.

You mean adding flank marchers using the Editor method?locustmustdie wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 4:10 pmBattle of Ferrybridge?rbodleyscott wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2024 2:53 pm Historically the usual tactic would be a flank march, by the attacking side.

But you can also add scripted flank marchers.

Code: Select all
After the battle Edward arrived with his main army and together Warwick and Edward returned to the bridge to find it in ruins.
Warwick sent his uncle, Lord Fauconberg with the Yorkist cavalry upstream to where they crossed the ford at Castleford and pursued Lord Clifford.
Fauconberg pursued Lord Clifford, his half grand nephew, in sight of the main Lancastrian army and defeated him after a fierce struggle.
Clifford was killed by an arrow in the throat,
having removed the piece of armour that should have protected this area of his body,
most likely so he could more easily issue commands.
What if place them even further(out of 87x87),for e.g.(-12,99) ?

No, but you can script which turn they should arrive on - with or without any random element.locustmustdie wrote: ↑Wed Jun 26, 2024 7:34 am Do you mean I can place reinforcements out of the visible map boundary

Weirdly the defenders sent a small contingent to defend the birdge which’ll be easily dispersed by offenders.
