Templars dominate

Politics, religion, war. They are nothing without a legacy that can stand the test of time. Lead any nation, and turn it into a mighty kingdom in one of the most compelling grand strategy games ever created.

Templars dominate

Post by vaalen »

In my Scotland game, I was third in legacy but was slowly catching up to the leader France, after surpassing Poland, another of the biggest and highest scoring nations.

A couple of turns ago, both France and Poland became vassals of the Templar order, which has exactly three regions of its own. A number of the previous vassals of France are now no longer vassals to anyone, and Poland has also had some vassals become independant. This is certainly a surprise, but I will do what any aggressvie monarch would do and hit the French, who are leading in legacy.

A surprising move.
There are 10 kind of hard problems in computer science, naming, cache invalidations and off-by-one errors.
There are also 10 kinds of people, those who understand binary and those who do not.

I am shocked the Templars were able to pull that one off....

Have you kept the turn before the event, this seems strange and certainly not desired...

Unfortunately, I have not kept that turn. I have played many turns since I first noticed France and Poland being the vassals of the Templars, and they are still the vassals of the Templars. Both nations have not expanded in all that time, and I have fought several wars with the Templars, just so I could pick off French regions, which has been quite easy to do. This has enabled me, as Scotland, to lead the world in legacy, with France being a close second, and Poland being fourth.

If I see this in a future game, I will save the turn I notice it. I think it first appeared on the first turn in 1214.

It is quite odd.
