I really enjoy the game and this adaptation to PC, but I have two simple questions:
- Not possible to Mac or Ipad?
-Many years ago I used to play DBA and then DBAOL. In DBAOL every time a close or ranged combat took place, you could see the resut of the dice ( obvioulsy frustating when you rolled a 1). It is possible to do that in FOG?
Thanks

Sadly not.

Some people have made the games work on Mac using PC emulators such as Parallels.

DBAOL actually used dice [RND(1,6)] to resolve combats. FOG2 does not.

The only part of the game that uses "dice" is cohesion tests. The scores are not shown because then it would be easy to see whether there is any chance of further shooting at the unit causing a cohesion drop. That (in our view) would be too much information given to the player.

DBA didn't have that issue because all shooting against a target was adjudicated in one opposed dice roll.

What system is used to resolve combats?

All a player needs to know is described in chapter 14 of the manual. (Also in the detailed tooltips in game)

If you want to know exactly how the calculations are made, you would need to look at the game code - which is freely available in the game build. It isn't spelled out in a step by step manner anywhere else.
