Hi PzNWolf
Dive biplane ? Another Luftwaffe Wonderwaffe ? Never saw it ... Go on.
In the early 1930s, the Luftwaffe command began to become interested in aircraft capable of dive bombing. Therefore, it asked German factories to design such an aircraft. The Gerhard Fieseler GmbH factory from Kassel responded to this demand by presenting the design of the Fieseler Fi 98 aircraft and Henschel Flugzeugwerke A.G. from Schönefeld near Berlin, which presented the design of the Henschel Hs 123 aircraft. The Luftwaffe Command chose the design of the Henschel Hs 123 aircraft
The aircraft entered service at StG 162 in autumn 1936. Its career as a dive bomber was cut short when the unit received its first Ju 87A the next year.ajs81 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2024 7:44 pmIn the early 1930s, the Luftwaffe command began to become interested in aircraft capable of dive bombing.
