How initial unit??™s location on map will be handled?

Post by vveedd »

Does initial unit??™s location on map for major power will be handled automatically or players will be enable to handle it manually?
3R has the best solution ??“ some unit??™s must be located on certain hexes and all other units player can locate where he/she wants. 3R also has same principal for minor allies.

To my opinion you should have the same ??“ this 3R solution gives much more flexibility and possibility to players and to gameplay.

We'd planned to just start all the troops on the map, but it's an interesting idea. We could give each player a forcepool and allow them to deploy units in the first turn - sort of a pre-first turn really.

However it might give too much advantage to USSR allowing them to drop troops back from the border, though these units could be fixed in place I guess. We've got a lot to do already so we can't promise anything but it's a nice idea.

You guess right. Reason why you must have option where some unit??™s must be located on certain hexes.
Thanks for quick answer. Just want to help you to make this game great.

The starting positions are identical in game but, due to retreat rules, the units end up in different places everytime you play so there is no bullet proof formula for how to handle each situations.
