I need some help with using the tool to view the content of modded files. Since the source code is available, I tried to run it locally, but failed miserably. Another option would be to use the "mod url" feature, but it seems I need to use a hosting service and put my modded files there. Is there an easier way?

I can confirm that the site was taken down as it was hosted on a free hosting site. The reason for taking it down was less than 5 visits per month so the site was deemed unused.

As mentioned in other posts, the site source is hosted on GitHub and if you want you can spin it up locally on your device.

I will possibly look into other free hosting options at some point but it's probably not on top of my priority list.

Unit navigator shutting down for good

It's been a great journey but we have reached its end. The very first step happened on Dec 26, 2017, several years ago, but now Unit navigator is officially shutting down. I have moved on and no longer can spend time (and money) to support the tool.

The project is an open source and the application source code will be still available on GitHub. If anyone wants to take over the project you can fork (clone) the Git repository and continue on (without me doing anything specific).

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this project but also to everyone who found the tool helpful and enjoyable.

Hi,

I'm not around these pages as much as I used to be, but I just wanted to say how useful this unit navigator tool was!

@Mojko, what data did you use for the tool? Did you just take the units.csv from the game files?

I'm going to ask our team whether there's anyway that we can rehost it.

Good to hear from you, Shards.
Slitherine hosting this wonderful tool will be very much appreciated.

And a new tournament wouldn't hurt either :-)
