Predominantly infantry struggle decided by Burgundian horse, rather fortunately, managing to get round both flanks to great effect.

Vakarr Thracian (Getae) 279 BC-46 AD with Greek 227-146 BC allies defeats DIVM Roman 199-106 BC with Spanish (Iberian) 300-10BC allies

The Thracians ignored the large area of rough ground on their left flank, and deployed all their cavalry and best troops on their far right flank. This turned out to be the right thing to do, as the rough terrain was full of Iberians and Velites. The Roman cavalry was all on the Roman left but it wasn't of the same quality and quantity, and, although it took some time, it was stripped away. The Thracian left flank was overwhelmed by the Romans and their allies, but the Thracians slowed their advance sufficiently for the Thracian Greek allies, in combination with cavalry charges, to defeat the Roman left flank. A hard fought battle, it seemed like the Romans had to win as warband after warband fled, but it took time to wear down the warbands and they did sufficient damage in the process.

Division 1

Karvon Mitanni defeated markleslie Sumerian/Akkadian 2500-2193 BC with Elamite 2500-2193 BC 61-40.

Mitanni chariots and lights focused fire on the unarmed Sumerian spearmen and shot them down in droves over time. Sumerians doggedly pushed forward with their masses and sometimes caught evaders or pursuing chariots and whittled us down a bit as well. Relying on our superior mobility, we were able to regroup and focus on isolated or already worn down units, and finally broke the army shortly before sundown.

Both armies fought it out in unfun terrain, the Germans squeezing out a victory by surrounding and breaking individual Dailami units, although quite a few German cavalry met the same fate. The Germans just did it a bit faster. GG!

edb1815 (Byzantine w/ Germanic Horse Tribes) defeated jtrillodmp (Roman w/ Frankish ally) 66%-57%

Another slugging match where most of the Byzantine infantry fell to the Roman infantry and warbands but the Byzantine cavalry and horse archers tipped the scales just barely.
